As mentioned in the thread by DSD, I received a pair of knitted, knee length, wool socks.
At dinner last night I also received many hugs from the grand kids.

It's only 7am, so we havent opened presents yet. I bought my mother a Kindle Fire and some special heat resistant crochet yarn for making pot holders and stuff. I bought my father a dozen pairs of super thick warm socks (expensive buggers). He works outside year round, and warm socks are important. And I bought both of them a toaster oven.

Last night my dad stopped by and dropped off a couple gifts for the pile so when they come over today we'll open them.

I grew up very poor, so gift giving was never very big. It wasn't until I graduated college and got a real job that I started spending money on non-essentials.

I got some epic lootz. A LoZ 3DS with Ocarina of Time, a new Xbox 250Gig and live subscription, Dances with Dragons, assorted clothing, whiskey, and the mother of all hangovers.

I was most pleased with how much the family liked their gifts from me though!

A sweater, a necklace, some nice drinking glasses a few other goodies and best of all a fancy easel for my nook. I'd been using a yoga app on my nook, but was having a hard time placing the nook to see the instructor and still properly do the poses and breath and stuff. Smiley: clown

Merry Christmas Assylumites!! Smiley: moogle

Scored an authentic Ray Lewis Ravens jersey from my brother. My Mommy got me some new bed stuff and mario 3D land for my DS. Step Dad got me a (pretty cool so far) book called Trillion Dollar Conspiracy (about how America was sold out to the money man and other conspiracies). Oh and socks, I love socks.

Pretty good haul should keep me entertained for a few days.

Merry Christmas to you all.

That sounds wonderfully awful.

You should totally put it in the garage, with some candles behind it. And a cauldron in front.

My kids were just now digging around in our booze cabinet and pulled out an old bottle of whiskey that is in the shape of John Lennons head - with removable glasses.
