Couldn't with the Visa one, you had to call them and it was a ~$2.50 charge to call them. I don't know about the AMEX one yet.

Then Canada is obviously fucked up.

Perhaps, it's entirely possible all of that has changed since I last used one but regardless I can't put an AMEX card in my bank account so it's still insufficient.

Personally, I was looking at the 256 gb Samsung drive on NewEgg. It only has a few reviews though, so I'm a bit leary.

They just started making SSD's but early reviews seem decent. I went with a Crucial SSD for my machine personally, it runs great!

That's good to know about the Samsung drives. I've had a couple Samsung HDs in the past and I've never once had a problem with them. I still use one of them for back up storage.

This.

I can take a Visa debit card, Amex, whatever, with 3 dollars on it, buy 50 dollars worth of stuff, use the Visa and then owe 47 dollars. And then use my debit card to pay the rest.

1. Air cooling is never adequate for overclocking
2. See rule 1.

If you are even contemplating overclocking, invest in a good water cooling setup and make sure you cool the chipset and voltage regulaors on your motherboard and your ram in addition to the processor. Unless you don't really like your motherboard and ram, in which case, go for it. A basic rule is 500 watts of heat dissipation per 120mm fan size of radiator core. If you have a 1,000 watt PSU, you should have at least a 3 120mm fan sized radiator an adequate pump (or two if you are going to cool the video cards on their own loop) and a decent sized reservoir of treated coolant.

Performance-pcs.com is a good spot to check what is available for air and water cooling.

If you have something like a Haf X case with 140mm fans cranked up to high, you might be able to get away with a mild overclock on air cooling. but might is a funny word when it comes to very expensive gaming computer components.

Meh, I have a i7920@3.6 and a stock Radeon5850 and my stuff runs fine on air whether my fans are low or high. I have good airflow though with my Antec1200 case. Can't remember what I have my ram at, but it's probably higher then I should have gone. (3x2gb OCZ gold)

I'd definitely recommend water cooling, but just because you're using air doesn't mean you can't overclock.

Like I said.. mines running perfectly fine at good temps. Let me rephrase.
