I really, really wish we could deport people who complain about paying taxes for infrastructure and the basic essential necessities of life to an untouched wilderness.

BIG Shame we don't have any excess untouched wildernesses any more.

We rely on a program of "self-deportation".

You don't need a truly untouched wilderness. Anywhere in Nature's End Boss Level(Australia) that isn't an outright settlement should serve the same purpose.

But then you'd have no tax dollars to pay for your infrastructure.

Because the only people who pay taxes for infrastructure are people who complain about it.

No. But people who don't pay taxes generally don't complain about them. See how that's relevant? On the whole, if you deported everyone who complained about paying taxes for infrastructure, you will reduce the number of people paying those taxes, but not reduce the number of people not paying them. At the risk of tossing some basic math theory at you, that means that the ratio of folks paying to folks benefiting will shrink, thus requiring either that more of the people left over start paying more in taxes *or* not having as much money for infrastructure relative to the people using it.

Smiley: eekVoter fraud!
Quote:
AUGUSTA, Maine — Outgoing Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster plans to investigate claims that “dozens of black people” who were unfamiliar to municipal officials voted Nov. 6 in rural Maine towns.

There's a nice long interview with Charlie HERE if interested. The longer he talks the more revealing he gets.

I guess much like the polls all being oversampled, there's just no way that a Republican could lose an election if not for voter fraud.

I think it's also rather telling that the mayor expected the poll workers to know every single person in the town, when I'm sure there are parts of the town itself the mayor has never deemed to visit.

True if the set of people who paid most of the taxes complained about it. In reality, it's a very small fraction of whiny ******* who complain about paying taxes (while using all the services, naturally). Most people with high tax loads understand it's an exchange. I pay more taxes than you, for instance. Likely orders of magnitude more, yet I accept the exchange for roads, police, fire services, etc. Someone who pays no taxes bothers me as much my neighbor benefiting from the shade of a tree I own. I'd assume you morons run out and demand he grow his own tree or compensate you.

Since he's now saying hundreds, he should have upgraded from "dozens" to "gross"

"Several gross of blacks arrived and voted!"

I wonder if any of these "invisible" black people in Maine will step forward and politely remind him that they've been a janitor in the city hall for the last ten years, or helped deliver his eldest son twenty years ago in the hospital...

Just because you don't pay attention to them, doesn't mean they haven't been there for a while.
