Parade time soon. Is it awful that I mostly watch to see if any of the big floats go rogue?

My offspring are both home, so I'm a pretty happy clam.

Be happy. Smiley: goat

My Kitchen smells delicious at the moment, to the point where even I can smell it. You guys are really missing out not having that smell-o-internet feature.

I ate and bought far too much today. Going to Wal-Mart an hour after Black Friday to take a look at the video games and blu-ray they have on hand. They are also stocking a blu-ray player according to the ad that came in the paper today that will sell for $40 between 9-10 only and is guaranteed to be in stock (if they sell out, ad states you buy and they will ship it to you to receive before Christmas). We had about 35 people at our house earlier and we played a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity with my bro, his fiance, and four cousins. That is my new favorite game without a doubt. It's pretty much a very dirty, very wrong version of Apples to Apples.

I originally had off tomorrow but there are a bunch of Medicaid cases in Milwaukee county that are ****** and need fixing. I can't get overtime since I'm salary now but it will put me in the good graces of a very important person in my division and that's never a bad thing. Looking at pretty much a half day, will probably get some pho after I finish and enjoy a very nice weekend. Remember during the election when the question was posed whether you were better off now than four years ago? I'd pretty much say yes times ten billion. I was about to lose my job four years ago and be unemployed for a year.

I hope all of you are well and happy and I want to thank you all for keeping me entertained and engaged these last few years, even though I typically lurk more than I post. You are all awesome and I love you (even alma, gbaji, and varrus).

Blamy is a bit better than balmy, and packs more of a punch.

My kids, plus some, swooped in and needed me for 2.5 days. Then they were gone again, back to their independent lives. My daughter snuck out with all the cranberry sauce Smiley: glare.

I feel empty.

Think I'm gonna go buy some thai food today.

We sent the four year old up to his aunt and uncle's with his grandma, and enjoyed Thanksgiving ourselves with just the baby.

You should swoop into their homes and eat all their food then. Serves them right!

I spend Thanksgiving at whatever sibling is hosting it, bringing a dish and whatever other random stuff they ask for. Then on Friday I cook my own Turkey, stuffing, gravy, etc. Put about half the meat in the freezer. Save carcass and make soup on Saturday. Eat soup and turkey sandwiches for a week. Yay! Smiley: yippee

I made my broth this Sunday and have it in the freezer along with frozen turkey meat in a separate container. It'll be turned into soup during the dark months of January and February.
