Ebb and Flow, twin space craft that have been orbiting the moon, are about out of fuel. They'll be crashed into the dark side of the moon later today. You can watch the planned collision streamed live HERE, but you won't be able to see anything as it's dark.

We will get to see the skidmarks.

Earthlings may be shut out of the spectacle, but the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter circling the moon will pass over the crash site and attempt to photograph the skid marks left by the washing machine sized-spacecraft as they slam into the surface at 3,800 mph.

I bet some prognosticator will be able to accurately read and interpret the marks providing valuable information about the EndoftheWorld.

I think as compared to a terrestrial skidmark, it will be dryer but leave a more unyielding stain.

Did anyone see the Hobbit this weekend?

I remember people flipping out when we crashed that one probe into a comet. We were going to upset the delicate nature of the universe or something. I wonder if they're going on about this as well.

Granted, our universe is based upon things smashing into other things.

There's a Nascar joke in there somewhere. It just won't come to me. Smiley: glare

I'd like to try some Bud some day, just to see how bad it is.

It's not that horrible. It's a mass produced beer, so the "quality" isn't on par with craft beers, but those who lament it as nothing more than bottled **** are just being idiots.

Sometimes when I have to go out of town for work, as I'm nearing my night time destination, I'll nonchalantly turn into the McDonalds drive through. I sneak my paper bag and ice-packed cup of Coka-cola into my cheap hotel room, plop myself down on the still-made bed, turn on the tv and feast on my Big Mac while I channel surf. This is my indulgence.

I think Bud doesn't even qualify as beer in the EU because of all the rice but I can't find proof at the moment (my google-fu is weak today) and the little I've heard about it from people who've had american macro lagers and Dutch macro lagers say that Bud is much worse than Dutch Heineken, which is already just plain bad.

Edit: found the Dutch laws on beer, Budweiser qualifies as beer although it's close. Bud has up to 30% of it's wort from rice and I don't know if they also use corn or not but Dutch beer law states that at least 60% of the wort must be from malted barley or wheat for a beverage to qualify as beer.

Pretty much this. I find that it's perfectly drinkable, though I'll always opt for Yeungling (they're priced comparably) over it given the choice. It's the best of the generic bunch (Coors, Miller, etc.), IMHO.
