The Interwebs is definitely having a good time with this woman's youtube videos and persona. Doing my daily bing searches with the news clicks, and of course her name is the top search. And the video results under her name are tons of remixes and various impersonations.

Yeah. Right up there with "bomb the abortion clinic because every life is sacred" BS.

I finally finished my Audiobook collection for The Dark Tower series on Audible. Amazon gave me another free two credit trial membership (which I'll likely cancel yet again before renewing at 15$). But I was only 1 book (a side book even) left so I have 1 free book credit.

Seems they'll give you free books every 6-12 months.

Now I want to find a nice long book (15+ hours) to spend my credits on. Something Sci-Fi / Fantasy. Guess I could do Ready Player One. Then I can be one of the "Oh, it's not as good as the book" people when I finally see the movie.

I just checked it on Audible. Ready Player One is read by Wil Wheaton... I think that collection of Drizzt stories had one read by him, and I'm very certain that I really enjoyed his Narration (a lot more that Felicia Days', if I am remembering right). So That is pushing me toward spending the free credit on that book.

The American Gods book was on my list of potentials. There were two versions. Standard narration and the full cast version.

It was a choice between American Gods, Magicians, or Ready Player One. I had already watched American Gods and Magicians. I'm sure they are plenty different enough to be enjoyable though.

Well, about 9 hours into the 15 hour book for Ready Player One. Enjoyed it so far. Will be curious to see how much of it translates over to the movie. I'll have to watch it next week or the week after.

Description sounds like Halo, Forerunners, and the Flood (not in a negative way, I only played Halo 1 and 2, and really enjoyed the cliff hanger ending of 2... never started 3 and beyond). If I had another credit, 41 hour book would definitely be a good time/cost value.

I found the early-on "lists" of things that used to be things to be more annoying that the scoreboards. "Here's a list of movies" "Here's a list of music" "Here's a list of games". (Though, the dozen sixxer names being listed off was like listening to someone read off the digits of Pi).

And I since I only listened to it, and didn't see it written. Was Wil Wheaton just prouncing "Poser" all... French-like. Or is it actually written out as "Possiour" or something dumb like that in the book?

Unfortunately the hotel I'm in is only about 5 minutes away from the factory I'm working at. So I don't have much of a commute to listen to the rest until I drive home on Tuesday. Then it will be 9+ hours. Finish off RPO and go onto the one book I have left in Dark Tower series. A Wind through the Keyhole.

Does he narrate? I'm always annoyed by autobiographical works where the writer doesn't narrate, especially if they're someone involved in the performing arts. You've read 1,000 scripts for television but you can't read your own book?

The narration for Metro 2033 is excellent. The story itself wavers between A-grade material and C-grade material depending on how meandering Glukhovsky is being at the moment but Rupert Degas does a top notch job of reading it.

That's the one. It's a full on space opera with a good ground game. Not sure I'd compare it to Halo but hard to explain without spoilers. No idea about Forerunners and the flood.
