When Playboy went down in size and cut back on articles, I stopped renewing my subscription. Jonwin wasn't able to look at the photos until Ii had read most of it.

We had a discussion before how people prefer the hardcore magazines over softcore. When you flip pages in a hardcore mag, you don't know what you'll see next. There are some positions, poses, etc. that I don't want to see. I don't have that issue with Playboy.

So I was asleep for about 35 hours consecutively over the weekend and had a whole lot of really weird dreams. Among them was this one where Donald Trump lost the primaries to someone (some very typical Republican candidate who's name was not known to me), and immediately picked up as a third party candidate, resulting in 27% of the popular vote for himself in 2016, leaving only 30% of the vote for the other guy and 43% for Clinton/Sanders who had decided to go as running mates. In the dream I was reading about it all here which seems to happen frequently.

I'm not sure of the details of Playboy's move, but wouldn't it make more sense to make the change to the paper magazine as planned, but allow anyone with a subscription to automatically be subscribed to say online content, where they could make nudes available. My understanding is that one of their drivers for this is that with all the **** available online, no one's willing to pay for a magazine subscription to see naked pictures of women, but the fact that they have nudity in their magazine relegates it to "behind the counter" status, which hurts sales for those who might want to actually read articles within.
Seems like if they just shifted their adult content to their website, and granted free access to those with subscriptions to the magazine, they could basically have the best of both worlds. Those who buy the magazine can choose to do so for reasons other than looking at nude pictures if they want (or just pretend to be doing so), and they can potentially expand the customer base for the magazine by not limiting themselves to those willing to purchase an adult magazine, but without reducing the "adult" side of the business for those who want it.

Fox News "Terrorism & Intelligence Expert" arrested by the FBI for, well, making it all up. That and trying to use his fraudulent experience to gain security clearances, etc. Oh, and a real estate scam.

Well, that tells me that Fox doesn't spend a lot of resources on background checks. If I'm ever convicted of a felony and need a job when I get out, I'll certainly keep that in mind.

Or, well... the US government? It's funny to me how the focus of this story in the media is on how Fox News should have vetted him better, while somewhat downplaying the fact that he's not being charged for "making stuff up on TV". He's being charged for falsifying information while working for various government agencies. Perhaps the focus should be on that part of it?
I'm mean, it's not like this guy claimed to have come under fire while flying into Bosnia, or that an attack on an embassy building was the result of a video, or filed exit documentation asserting that she'd turned over all classified documents related to his work at the State Department, only to have kept them on his email server at home. Because those would be really serious, right?

It looks as though he only "worked for" the government as an independent contractor through third party agencies. He was charged with numerous attempts to falsify records while trying to obtain work/clearances which, given that he is currently under arrest and facing up to 35 years in prison, would suggest that the government did in fact do some background checking.
