I think I figured out why some men think they deserve to earn more than women on the job. They are the same men that use that money to pay attorney fees for sexual harassment claims.

If this is true, it is further proof how awesome she is as Wonder Woman.
It's good of her and all, but Lynda Carter is still tops. Ellen Page, and Anna Paquin corroborates, says that Brett Ratner harassed her during the filming of X-Men: Last Stand. I believe it because everyone that just saw Last Stand was pretty offended. Being involved had to be worse.

I believe it was debunked, WW didn't make the ultimatum, just some good ole fake news.

On a more accurate note, we have another killing, at another school, this week it was in CA.

****, and we were a day short from it being long enough after the last mass shooting to be allowed to discuss gun control. Guess we gotta restart the clock -- hope no one gets shot before we can address it!

Got it covered.

We're finally at a point where people are just copy-pastaing their condolences for these shootings, and forgetting to change the city's name.

Keystone. Pipeline. Oil. Spill.

A previous spill of 400 barrels took two months to clean up. This is 5000 barrels

Looks like Al Franken and Sylvester Stallone are next on the chopping block.

A while back I had posted about the hard-to-make decision about being a living kidney donor for my Grandmother. They had gone through her children, then started her grandchildren. My brother was in the same boat and he was being counseled on the whole process and what it would mean in his life moving forward. He had the same misgivings as I did about it.

Then late last night they found a kidney (dead organ donor, I assume). And she had to go to the hospital very early this morning to begin the process. Does kind of interrupt the holiday plans, but it was just going to be my immediate family and her anyway, so not a lot of people to reschedule.

It kind of feels wrong to think "Thank God, now we don't have to worry about making that living donor choice." But it is a relief, not having to worry about it. Now we just have to wait and see if it takes, but that would be true of the living donor situation too.

Charles Manson dies, Tirith's grandmother finds a kidney donor ...

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

(I mean, obviously congratulations on her finding a kidney and you and your family not having to be harvested for it and such.)

I'll keep an eye out for any post-operational evil tendencies that may appear.

Edit:
She made it out of surgery, apparently all went well.

I also learned that apparently they do not actually remove the bad kidneys. That the new kidney gets put in some empty pocket below the existing kidneys above the hip? News to me.

All goes well she'll be out of the hospital by Friday. Which strikes me as very soon.
