Didn't see many good ones this year. My sister and brother-in-law, who are beer snobs, are all up in arms about the Budweiser "Brewed the Hard Way" one. Liked the "With Dad" Nissan one. The Clash of Clans ad was pretty funny. Otherwise, nothing really all that memorable for me. Anything I miss?

1. Have multiple adds saying we should all be nice to each other and don't be mean to girls and stuff
2. Have add where someone tells new mom "Sorry, it's boy"

WTF

Watching ads on purpose has to be one of the weirdest cultural practices ever... practiced.

I don't think you're supposed to identify with the horrible people in that particular commercial. I mean a kale garden? Really? Smiley: tongue

I didn't watch the whole game, but when Jan from the Brady Bunch turned out on the stairway as Steve Buscemi in the Snickers commercial, I chuckled.

Yeah, there was a 'run like a girl' add that went way overboard imo.

I liked it and thought it did well to help it hit home for people.

I guess it was a good add, and the message is positive, but I just couldn't help but thinking that girls do 'run like girls'.

I'd wager atleast 50% of the guys on this board run and throw like girls as well.

You mean to say they run fast and throw with all their might?

...and if this is the take-away, then that's a success.

I think P&G would have been better served to use the 'women driver' stereotype to drive home the misconception.

The alternative is to watch the game.

They actually shot one with an Asian woman driving, but she killed the whole crew with her car.

Ahh....sterotypes.

It's more that the game itself is such a cultural touchstone here, *but many people don't really enjoy football*. They still go to the "Super Bowl Party" event, and stare at a flickering screen. The ads are the best part for those people.

It's probably a lot like watching the English national team play soccer. Obviously no one wants to see them play soccer, I assume they just enjoy the jerseys. Look, three lions!

I didn't watch either game nor commercials so now I'll be uninformed when Gbaji starts talking about the social agendas hidden in the advertising and how come he never heard of that girl singer shaking her ta-tas during the halftime show.

There was one just like the coca cola ad. I forget what song it was singing. But it showed a bunch of different ethnicities. At least the song was 100% English this time.

My husband was waiting for Katy's costume failure so he could start Nipplegate.

I was anxious her shooting star was going to fall and crash.

Mostly liberal agenda's and social messaging were not hidden, though, I suppose rewriting the outcome of the Boston Tea Party could be viewed as unpatriotic.

Bud mocked the craft beer market pretty heavily. Something about dissecting beers and letting the fruits enjoy their pumpkin latte ales.

I went up to bed so to read some, as half time started. I did like the little blue pill, Fiat commercial.

The Marsha Marsha Marsha bit, should become a meme on Facebook.

I forgot about this, but this was the only real interesting thing to come out of the Superbowl.

Joke's on Evans, Pratt does this kind of thing anyway.

I was surprised by the Nissan ad one. Felt like to me somebody isn't really familiar with the lyrics of Cats in the Cradle, and just heard the "I'm gonna be like you Dad" line. Having a father choose his car over his son doesn't make me want to buy one. The mentos style ending didn't help anything either. Oh, you picked me up at school? Its all good now.

Yeah, that's a bit like using "Brown Sugar" in a cereal ad.
