Actually, I've heard that Wendy's salads are quite good. There aren't any near where I live, so my visits there are infrequent at best, but that's what I've heard. And yeah, they do have a "different" set of side dishes than the usual fast food fare (baked potatoes, cups of chili, etc).

The salads at Wendy's aren't terrible. They aren't anything mind blowing, but if you're looking for a healthier fast food item, it's a solid choice. Just go easy on the dressing, the packet they give you stupidly over sized. As to Taco Bell, I really never get to the side of town that has the only one in the area. The one time I went, it wasn't anything that bad, but it's not worth driving out of my way to get either. Honestly, my fast food place of choice is Sheetz.

Nah...it's just like any other fast food salad these days - they use the big tubs of spring mix/mixed greens that you'd buy at the grocery store. Add your standard shredded carrots and grape tomatoes and there ya go. Not exciting, but we tend to go to fast food joints for predictability, not innovation.

Yeah, the chili is pretty good too, really. And it's not horrible for you, comparatively. If you get a small with no cheese on top, it's like a hundred calories I think. Have a side salad and you've got a pretty decent lunch for like $3 and under 400 calories, depending on what you use for dressing.

I don't think that can exist. The universe will implode if you try. For the sake of the rest of us, don't do it! It's seven kinds of wrong wrapped in eight kinds of wrong. Rehgar will smite you. Please think of the children.

You know, at the top of this thread I was thinking, "The only thing I can think of that's more disgusting than this would be, like, deep-fried Cadbury eggs."

Be careful where your mind goes, I guess.

I believe you mean ""Cadbury" <Hershey's Wax Chocolate Inc>"" eggs.

That's probably what the egg-roll wrap is for, to keep the wax from flaming.

I have had a deep fried snickers before. That's about the extent of my fried chocolate/sweet foods experience. The idea behind the deep fried cadbury egg seems ok, but with an eggroll wrapper? Seems like you could do something with a batter like they do with deep friend candy bars.

Last Feast had a Deep Fried Candy stand next to the zeppoles. Pretty much any candy you could find at a convenience store. Wasn't bad.

Hah. I've had it a few times. With cheese though, so I guess I'm just a glutton or something. Tried the baked potato, but it seems a bit hit or miss (very small, and a bit dry, but I applaud them at least trying). It wasn't "bad", just not great. I did make the mistake of ordering the fish sandwich one time (I think that was at Wendy's). Honestly, don't ask me why, because fish is usually not something I'd go to a fast food place and think "hey! That sounds good", but for some reason I decided to try it before my brain thought about it long enough to stop my mouth from doing the deed. It also wasn't "bad", but holy hell was it greasy. To the point that we thought something had spilled in the bag. Nope. Just grease leaching through the sandwich paper, through the bag, and onto the table I'd set it on for like 10 seconds.

Those things seem to get smaller every year. And more expensive. I've taken to buying fish sticks and making my own knock off.
