If it wasn't an actual disaster that is harming people this Texas flood would be comedy gold.

I wonder where all the Texans that wanted to secede are right now.

God did tell Abraham that if even 10 righteous could be found in Sodom, that he would not destroy the city with his divine wrathiness(Genesis 18:32)
Here’s the thing: If Sodom had 5,000 people, then 10 people is only .002 percent of the population.
Thus, an area could be 99 percent given over to sodomy and witchcraft and still safe. We can safely conclude then that the floods are not caused by sin, but by global warming.

Ha ha, yeah, people in Texas deserve to drown because they hold different political opinions than I do.

That's not why people in Texas deserve to drown.

I'm not even sure what this thread is about. One nutter blaming the flooding on sodomy, or another nutter blaming it on global warming? I'm going to kinda take the sane position that maybe we should hold off on blame until after folks have been rescued and/or buried? Just a thought.

It's about schadenfreude, mostly.

Although the assertion that the flood was brought on by sodomy and witchcraft was pretty amusing.

I honestly found the length to which the author of the piece felt the need to counter such a claim even more amusing. Guess when you've got to find something to write about, that's as good a page filler as any though. Up next: We debunk some random guy out there who claims his poop talks to him!

Yes. I certainly hope everyone who needs help gets it, I have no ill will towards Texans as a people, it's the ridiculous stuff that's being argued about when the situation isn't even over that's hilarious. I agree it's off colour to joke about it but this is the asylum.

I hope they get help, as well. And when it comes time to vote, I hope they remember that their Republican representatives voted against sending Federal aid in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, and vote them out of office.

Oh, who am I kidding?

DDP.

I do wish they could send some of that rain West, at any rate.

I wouldn't say that they deserve to drown, but maybe a sea serpent can swim inland and eat them. That's the traditional punishment for holding the wrong political opinions.

My sister and her family are in Texas and I wish them well. They will be high-tailing it out of Crazyland as soon as her husband can get transferred back to Ft. Meade.

The Texas flooding wasn't divine retribution, it was divine love...
Political wire wrote:
California Assemblywoman Shannon Grove (R) suggested her state’s worst drought in 1,200 years may be God’s retribution for laws providing women with access to abortions, the Huffington Post reports.

Said Grove: “Texas was in a long period of drought until Governor Perry signed the fetal pain bill. It rained that night. Now God has his hold on California.”
