He's currently playing ARK on Steam. Has been in that game pretty regularly lately.

Dinosaurs cutting into his Zam-time.

Hum.

Sounds like Rust with dinosaurs. I might get it.

Still alive, just haven't had much to say with how slow it's been.

Ark is fun if you get onto a good unofficial server. The official servers have the usual sort of player base you'd expect for this sort of game (maybe you like that though) and is much more of a time grind -- several hours to tame a dinosaur, etc. Ain't nobody got time for that. I've enjoyed it more than Rust mainly because it has a much more hostile environment (dinosaurs, dontcha know) so you have stuff to do even if you're not trying to murder someone and steal their pants.

Well, I've got a nice pack of secondhand velociraptors. They are going for cheap owing to the fact that they are part of an estate sale. The previous was part of a freak raptor accident. He was under the mistaken impression that Barney would cal and soothe their saurian tempers.

No, but it's still in Early Access. Submit your idea to the devs!

I have 3 gigs of word documents as proof of concept, they can't turn me down!

Coincidentally this is one of the many appeals of the dinosaurs.

Just watched all the trailers for the game. I'd REALLY love to play it... but... I'm almost 100% positive my craptop won't be able to run it without an extreme amount of lag on its lowest settings. Beyond that, the only way I can see myself playing a game like this anymore is if it's with people I know aren't going to fly around in god mode and ruin everything.

It's pretty horribly optimized at the moment so, if you have a crappy system, you're probably right. I have an i7-860 @ 3.6GHz, 12GB memory, R9 290X w/ 4GB and get 30-40fps on high even with their recent performance pass. And that's with a modest 1600x1050 resolution (someday I'll get a new monitor but not today).
