Orefise and I are married IRL. 17 babies. All going to be presidents one day (<.>) Anyone on the subject, elitest attitudes be ghey. For example, just because I know I'm better than everyone, doesn't mean I should smear it in their faces. They already know the facts, don't need to reittirate them :) But seriously, I've had a lot of friends from day 1 turn ******* because they thought they were "teh ub3r l337 h@xm@st0r". But there are those few who are cool 100%. Like Jersey... hes ****** hawt.

"Another person I knew a ways back also hit higher levels and has worked his butt off to get where he is. I run into him in palbourogh(sp) mines. Was helping a friend get keys for crapzam. We trained a bunch of mobs and then killed them all, this person then comes to us and says, you know if you needed help with keys just ask. Dont train anymore. I told this person to bite me, it wasnt his or anyone's place to tell others how to play the game.
No one died due to train and friend got thier key. (lvl 75 means you know it all and those under your level always need your help, reguardless)"

It's interesting you mention this here, since what I said had absolutely nothing to do with relative levels and everything to do with wanting to help an old friend out. Your WHM was higher than the job I was on at the time (65ish RDM), and it was pretty obvious that you were more than capable of doing a key hunt yourself. I wanted to offer my assistance so you guys could get your keys and I could go back to exping my other account without worrying about other people killing key mobs. However, the response I got from that offer was purely hostile and rude, quite the opposite of what I expected from an old friend and former LS leader. For the record, I've been against train farming since I was a 32THF/RNG farming in Saruta and Giddeus, and I've always asked people to stop and give other farmers/expers a chance at the mobs, and I'll continue to do so because I believe train farming is a rude and discourteous thing to do.

Seeing you post this and accuse me of being a stuck-up 75 after that encounter really hurts, and it really makes me wonder which of us is the one with the attitude problem.

say what you want, think what you will. Your comment was one of belittling, not helpfulness. You are no one to talk to anyone stating the way they play is wrong. I have already stated my comment was rude and harsh, so please.. state something other than the obvious.

People have recently began stating to me what a "good LS leader and friend" i am/was. Well, i am the same person i was then as i am now. ONLY thing different is i am a bit wiser. I don't tend to allow others to USE me as i did. I speak my mind more. You can think it is the same additude i refer to, that's fine.

Fact is, it happens and exhists. To shed light on it is not a sin. I comment on it to hopefully make others aware so that in the future it can be changed. Obviously too many people are out for thier own gain and care nothing about others.

It's not my fault that you took my offer of help as an insult. Like I said, it's pretty obvious a 75WHM can do Kazham keys, so saying that I offered help out of some kind of stuck-up high level attitude is plainly false. In fact, the opposite might be said, that as a 75WHM YOU were the high level with the stick up their ***. I asked for some courtesy and offered to help, but you told me "Bite me!" and then posted on Alla smearing my actions. Taking an offer of help as "belittling" is an action of a stuck up high level jerk, not the kind and caring Ore I was once in LS with.

seems to me you need to rethink your definition of
Quote:
stuck up high level jerk

might be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

your record has some blemishes on it. don't be so quick to point fingers.

I hate to post on this thread because it will bump it back to the top but it is sad that so much was lost here. Maybe it was the title that offended some people. There were some personal feelings between players that was aired here that also affected the way people viewed this thread. What was missed is that many people do change as they get to be a higher level. I would ask those that felt like they were singled out in this post to think about it and I will bet that each one of them can think of somebody they feel has changed as their level got higher. What we all should remember is that this is a game and we should be playing if for FUN. We should all try to have a fun gaming experience and allow and help others to do the same. Ore used no names in her post so only a handful of people knew who she was talking about. She wasnt trying to smear anybody, just give us all something to think about.

As Orefise's real life husband (sorry Vise, you lose) I have spent many hours (too many) helping strangers with quests and missions and such because they were doing /shout somewhere. This is because she is always willing to help and so I go along to help out as well. If you think this post makes her an elitist then take a moment to read her original post, not the arguement that followed.
