10 Fricking hoursFollow

Hello Lakshmi I am trying to DL the upgrades on my computer.... 10 damn hours it will take. I do not think I will make it since the army has a posted 30 minute rule! I may have to wait on my WIFI USB antenna to get here where I can use the wireless in my little trailer. The internet here is not the greatest, but if I happen to get it downloaded I will see you all and I will beable to play again. I miss you all!

Life in Iraq has been hard so far. I am working long hours and have not really had time to post messages. For this I am sorry. I am working in a Dining Facility (Sport Oasis DFAC) I am incharge of 13 soldiers and about 200 Iraqi/Pakistan/Indonesian and I am not sure of the other people. Most are Indonesian. They all speak pretty good english and are somewhat amusing. They can cok really well. They have 1 guy working there and his job is to do nothing but make smoothies (blended fruit, juice and ice) They (the smotthies) are really awesome especially in the heat of the day. I know I have partied with alot of people on this server and alot of people are friends of mine. Here is what I want to ask for some peole who call me friend. Send some candies or cards (playing) There are actually people over here who have no one to write them and stuff. This is really sad!!! I do not keep track of names, but working in the DFAC I see them come in 3x aday and have a very depressed look on thier face. Good Morning or afternoon does not even bring a smile :(. If you decide to send anything to me I assure you all I will distribute it to different people whom I believe are having a bad day or actually have noone to send them anything. My address is:

Kevin Eakin
HHC 440th SIG BN
APO/AE 09342

I will tell you all now THANK YOU!!! You might make some poor sole a happy one! God Bless and I will try to write soon. SGT

Sgt.My man! Your an old Soul on a mission! I once was that someone who had "no one" sending me anything 15yrs ago. I will send some goodies for you to distrubite to those you deem are needing of a friend who cares!

Assuming:
Lip Balm
Baby Wipes

are still items in demand?

I encourage our gaming community to do the same please.

Hiya! I don't know you personally, but I have certainly seen you around in Lakshmi. I think this is an awesome idea. I come from a military family and I know how hard it is to be so far away from loved ones. And with the holidays almost upon us! Oy...

If you go to WWW.oconus.com , you can find a list of restrictions by APO/FPO zips and some general information on the best way to send your packages.

I am hoping to get out with my sons to put together a package. Its so important for them to get involved (they are 8 and 5). Is it ok if I let them pick out small holiday items? I think they would have fun filling out Christmas cards (general ones with no religious undertones) and such, which would hopefully brighten someone's day.

Thanks so much for doing this! Please take care and hope to see you in Lakshmi very soon!

I am doing well and I am going to try to down load the updates again this evening or tomorrow evening. I just hope I get the time off to sit with my computer for 10 hours!!! See you all soon Kae

Hey SGT, not sure if you remember me or not, but I am going to send some things and I also contacted a local radio station and asked for them to help out a bit by saying it on the air. What ur doing is an awsome thing. Good Luck and God Bless :)

Hello again, I have read all your posts and I am very happy to say the least. You can send anything, except pornography related items. This is really frowned upon in this area of the world, and besides that I would not feel comfortable in handing it out! I think it is awesome that your 2 kids would like to assist in getting a box together. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!!!

I am downloading the updates now. I will leave my laptop at the computer lab tonight and I will try to get on tomorrow after I get off work to tell everyone hello! I hope it works and I will see you all soon. SGT

I am the one who needs to thank you and your fellow soldiers. I know the hardships you are going through, and even more so, that of your families as they wait at home for your return. The little I could send is only a small token of the thanks I give to all of you each day.

Take care of each other. We hope to see you all home soon.
