Too tired to write anything. I'll post later. Its about the ZM run Sir Godspeed planned.

I played for 24 hours straight without sleeping and barely leaving the computer. I need a break x_X.

But it was fun and you know it! Since I fell asleep for a couple hours there at the end of it and am rested, ill start off the info. =P

ZM4: We had a rough start, as there were a couple no-shows, but we filled in the gaps and went to the temple. We made it to the Den of Rancor with little trouble, just took a while to get everyone there. We did have a problem when we found out that one of our lantern holders was holding the wrong type of lantern. Props to Schultz, who lit the lantern, ran back to get another flame, and lit a second lantern in time for us to get through. So we made it, and owned up on the NMs, no sweat.

ZM5
: This is the worst mission I have EVER done. We decided to start off with the Behemoth's Dominion headstone since it was just a short walk from jeuno. Well a few of us got there early, and yours truly pulled a Leroy Jenkins and accidently spawned the NMs early. ^^; So I died and a couple of other people as well. But we had to wait for everyone to get there anyway, so it was more of an annoyance than an actual delay. So we all got there and got raised and beat the NMs, no problem.

Now for the fun part. Ifrit's Cauldron. I swear that I will never go to that place again if I can help it. Took us about 2 hrs to get this part done, just because moving a full alliance thru there is unimaginably difficult. Got a little aggro, some death, a d/c here or there, but otherwise just a long, long walk. Still annoying though, especially those damn bombs and their magic aggro... When we got outside back to Yuhtunga, somebody fell off the cliff on accident so we forced him to die so we could tractor him back up. =P Well the alliance felt I needed to redeem myself from the BD incident, so they let me spawn the Opo-opo NMs. Well the two tanks decided to voke the same one so I died rather quickly. I had reraise up, so no big deal, but it was still funny. Needless to say I made up for the earlier goof.

Next we moved on to Zi'tah Sanctuary. This one went pretty smoothly, no complaints. NM went down in about a minute.
After that we teleported and went to Cape Terrigan. Again, rather smooth, NM was defeated quickly. We systematically went to all of the other headstones. Only problem came at the Quicksand Caves headstone, where several people died outside and i had to run around to raise them all. ^^;

ZM6:
We had a little trouble getting to this one, as somebody died where nobody could get to him. (Stupid weight activated doors) So I had to escape and come back around for him, but it wasn't a terribly big deal, just more time consuming. We beat the BCNM with little effort, all well and good. Keep in mind that for all of these BCNMs we have to do them 3 times each to accomidate everyone in the alliance. But that hasn't been a problem, yet...

ZM8: Ahh, ZM8. Superman. Anybody who has done this knows just how much of a pain this fight can be. We got to the 12th floor of Delkfutt easily enough, as almost everybody still had a key to use. So then the first group went in. We beat him with surprizing ease. PLD died once, but we got him up and beat it in about 7 minutes. Now we had some trouble. The second group seemed to be cursed. They just could not beat it, no matter what setup they used. The guy just spammed Light Blade on them, which makes for a rather nasty end. Now, I must confess that I got so bored with waiting that I accidently fell asleep. ^^; But I got back a couple of hours later and they apparently did beat it, because they were playing around in sky when i got back.

Well, thats all the info I have. If I missed anything, somebody else feel free to fill in, especially the parts I wasn't there for. Here are a few stats from the run:
Total Number of hours: 18(?)
Total people involved: about 30
Total Number of deaths: about 20 (not including the ZM8 wipes)
Total gil spent: Dear god I dont even wanna think about this number... (So many oils and powders...)
Number of areas involved: 15 (not including zones we just travelled through)
Number of teleports used: about 30
Number of caffiene drinks consumed: probably a lot
Finally getting Sky: Priceless (sorry I just had to add this in)

Ok, that's all I can think of for now. Once again, feel free to add in if you were there. I, on behalf of all the alliance, would like to extend our gratitude to all those who helped us at all with these when there was no benifit to themselves, especially Schultz. Schultz has earned my undying respect. He stayed up for 35 straight hours and helped us with every single mission, even doing some BCNMs more than once. And he didn't even get anything out of it. He already had Sky. Thank you so much. And of course, we can't forget the person who started all of this. Draconian, we all owe you big time for organizing this for us. It didn't go smoothly the whole time, but we sure got it done, and it was all thanks to you. And a big thank you to everyone else that participated during this marathon of ours! That's all for now!

Well I got up in the morning to find out some bad news.... kinda. My dad called and wanted to go out to dinner so I figured ZM's were out of the question. I said goodbye at 11am and went to go do some other stuff.

To my surprise when I got home at 6:30 everyone was still on ZM5. This was great because I only needed 6-> Well I went and helped them with the last 2 nm's for zm5 (Zitah and Terrigan) both went down easily.

ZM6 didnt take very long for my party. We went in first, defeated the bcnm with ease and some had to go back for the 3rd run and some didnt. I headed back to Jeuno and into the Stellar Nexus without a problem. Waited there and watched in horror as the 3rd party kept getting wiped out by the ants. By that time It was around 12:30 and I had to get up early today for work so I had to drop out ><.

1. Thank you for all who helped even though they didnt need it.
2. Congrats to all who made it all the way to sky
3. I still need ZM8-> so whoever had to drop out after 6 or anyone who just needs 8-> I want to try to do them sometime this week.

Thanks alot to Draconian for organising the run, and everyone who helped and took part (too many to name)

So yeah, also looking for a party for ZM8 onwards, if anyone is interested.

Ack... you were so close. We waited there for about 10-15 for you to come back. After leaving some kept doing /sea's for you to check if you were back on.

But it was cool, fun to actually play with/help you guys. For all those that fell along the way, I'm sorry that you couldn't make it. The road to sky is a long, hard, and expensive one I know I spent about 80k on this, chocobo's, meds, outpost warps... you name it.

11am -> 11pm (next day) 36hrs. I was advised to get some sleep on the first day before the run at 2am, I didn't ; ;

Ok running to light the lamps and dodging the bombs. What you guys didn't see was me nearly dead in my chair from multiple heart attacks. First off when I relit the lantern, the bomb I swear was looking right at me. I didn't know if sneak would drop upon lighting the lantern. I just did it and run, applied invis when safe and was off.

Next 1-2mins longest ever. Sneak/Invis dropped multiple times, with you guys saying "run forest run" and other stuff, I'm sitting there going.. stupid sneak.. aaaah -- Well atleast you didn't do what happened last time. Yul was standing there going "I think the flames are dying down", that brought all types of panic.

I have to say, I hate the amount of useless travel in those missions, especially 9-13. Back and forth, it's not even needed. That Norg boat needs to goto Jeuno, and they need to do renevations to the pond in Rabao to accomodate an airship there.

And in the ZM8 fight, there is nothing cooler than seeing:

Kam'lanaut readies Light Blade.
1 of Toralyn's shadows absorbs the damage and disappears.

We spent more than two hours before the remaining 6 of us (who needed it) managed to get it done. But it was worth it. Ru'Aun Gardens music is that sweet.

I didn't want to say anything, since we had highlevel PLD's there, but when I did it, it was with a Highlevel NIN for that exact reason. Plus less MP spent to cure them because the shadows absorbed most stuff. And yeah not to sound like a jobnazi I just sat tight and didn't say anything. Congratulations on all of you guys, even those that didn't make it, these missions bite, and with those that came, I don't think there could have been a nicer bunch of people. And trust me I've been in much worse alliances through ZM5. Everyone did great.

Maybe we should recap the list and see where people left. I know there are some still on ZM5, others on ZM6, and I think most that got past ZM8 got to ZM13. Maybe you could join up with some of those guys in another run.

Sleek, do you think you would be able to run through that twice maybe, and maybe take your place on the 2nd go? I'm probably not strong enough to take the 6th place, but if you could take the time to go through it twice and let me do it, I'd be grateful.

ZM4 - Aside from a few that dropped before we started and not realizing till we got to lanterns that 2 members with 2 unlits left and the 4th we thought we had covered proved to be the wrong lantern....lol... went smooth.

But wait.... 3 lanterns only???? How could this be!!???

THEN:

Out of nowhere comes Schultz ( a taru blm )running the Olympic Torch to the 4th unlit Lamp as all 18 of us stood around Humming the tune of "Chariots of Fire" aloud. Once we were in... smooth.

ZM5 - Some silly deaths and some lapse in judgements - This still went very smooth. I was impressed. Reminded me of the Clay Quest from Selbina. Lots of travel. Still Smooooth. Even Ifrits.. slow and precise with a few deaths but still... smoooth.

ZM6 wasnt to bad at all. We did carry some underlevels which in retrospect proved to make things more difficult for all involved. All in all remember we were carrying alot thru thi.

ZM7 ^.~

ZM8 - Kam'lanaut readies Light Blade. This is all I remember.

When I finally went to sleep, this was dancing in my head! I'll have to admit I was ready to call in a night..err day when getting past ZM8 for the final party seem impossible, but Toralyn suggested we try one more time and we did.. and then we tried again .. and then we won.

Godofwar - Thank you, for however you did it by getting Hate of me during that last fight. After I shot Slug off I saw vision of "Kam'lanaut readies Light Blade" and thought "*****" here we go again. However, Godofwar did it and I finished my run with a display of Power even Kam'Lanaut admired. SS>>Barrage>>SS>>EES.

When the smoke cleared Godofwar was dead but so was Kam'!

For the record: I dont like this guy.

ZM9-11 Cake

ZM12- We slept walked thru this one ..again.. smooth.

ZM13 - In the end only a few where left.

Tolite - We'll give him a prop was still in pt.. just asleep ^^

It was awful, when I went in the second time to help the other party take down Kam'Lanaut, he used Light Blade on Draygorn EIGHT TIMES. Awful luck x_X.
