Not sure about this week.
I was going to comment about the breakneck speed over the last month of releases, but then I saw the url for the article and decided against it because being sick sucks. But then I remembered I don't like Bleach enough to be considerate so I wrote this instead.

Also, Toriko 's arm hasn't grown back yet? I could have sworn he's regrown much worse damage before, or did I miss a chapter?

But no, seriously. Bartolomeo is great.

Long time coming. I imagine Blackagar was miffed at Namor for releasing Thanos.

Oh ya. Infinity seems like ages ago & since Blackbolt got a ton of new InHumans out of it I figured he wasn't too sore about the loss of Attilan. It is my understanding that Blackbolt is still thought to be dead & Medusa is running things for the Inhumans propper while Maximus chills with the Cabal?

I don't read Inhumans, so the little info I'm getting on them is coming from Avengers or crossovers & with Blackbolt's whole deal being "not talking" its hard to follow what's going on with him. Especially after the time jump.

Thane finally showed back up at the end of Legendary Star-Lord though.

In the last book he was still Maximus' meat puppet weapon, and Medusa was still a fascist thanks to Axis. Of course, with all the time travel and time skips over the last year or two it's hard to keep track.

As a lead in, looks like Marvel is hitting the reboot button. Sounds like they're finally ditching the Ultimate line and merging it into regular 616, but I wonder if it's a full Nu52 style reboot.

Fairy Tail: Everyone is splitting up, Mavis is still adorable even as an apprentice of evil, and Grey punched a fish.

Edit when the other chapters are available and/or obtained.

Side note in this article, but the Marvel/Attack on Titan crossover issue will be part of Free Comic Book Day this year.

Star-Lord/Guardians/Rocket: Hilarious that in Guardians its revealed at the end that Peter is now the President of the Spartax empire, but no mentions of it in his own book. Flash/Venom got upgraded while Rocket has to slay a poisonous snow dragon on Hoth.

ASM - Bu-bye Scarlet Spider/Other.

Invincible - Looks like Invincible & Eve are moving off planet since Rex took over. Its neat that while his takeover was bloody, he was doing it for the benefit of all humanity. I really love how this book plays with the traditional super hero tropes & turns them on their heads.

I also recently re-read ALL of New Avengers (post Avengers disassembled up to the relaunch where it became team Illuminati) thanks to a comixology sale. Man, was that a fantastic run. Felt a little odd to pay 60 bucks for 67 issues I physically have in unorganized long boxes, but way more convenient than digging through & searching for them all.

It's up now. Kind of a spastic schedule now. The two were just Daddy issues and Senzu beans.

Spider-verse taught us that being Ben Reilly is a curse. The whole symbiote thing in Guardians might be the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. I mean there are retcons, and then there are retcons, and by those standards that was horrible. Also looks like Bullseye is back, thanks to Elektra.

maybe I'm late to arriving here but anyone getting Christian undertone from this ? Soul Kings (God) rules over the Shingiami (Angels) who cast judgement on souls. Either sending them on to soul realm, or purifying corrupted souls. (Demons/Hollows). Quincy, whom are the human equivalent of Shinigami, who are products of Yhwach is the King's son (Jesus) who was dead but resurrected.

Honestly I don't even remember why hes after his dad, or why they're fighting. Shinigami 'purify' souls to gather the soul energy to keep the Soul world going (Feed the king Im guessing). Quincy destroy Hollows to ? starve ? the Soul King? Is this their only purpose? Did I miss something?

Blah putting it into words just makes it more confusing. **** Bleach.

OP: You got fatter jokes never ending-ly funny ........ Kinda just want this arc to wrap up. Bart is going to be the new crew member?

To be honest, I think you're giving Bleach too much credit. I don't think the writing can be that planned out.

I'll be happy if they move Dan Slott away from anything Spider related, and kill off his self insert character.

One Piece: Right in the damn feels. Smiley: cry

Bleach: Huh, been reading this thirteen years? Feels longer.

Fairy Tail: Words are overrated, a decent little chapter without much happening.

Inversion: Secret Wars3 set up? Good to see that Beyonders aren't all into disco and jheri curls. Also nice to see Pym still hanging about, being used.

Comixology apparently glitched so I'm just getting around to starting to read.

Dang, has it really been 13 years? I only started reading probably 10 years ago, but that's still absurd to think about.

So liar game just wrapped up. It was weakening near the end, but I never expected the level of unnecessary ******** crammed into the last chapter. I don't think it has the fanbase to reach Negima/School Rumble levels of fame, but it was probably equally terrible.

Nah, it was with their digital release service. Their Marvel books usually release by 10am, but this time it was sometime at night when the last few books finally rolled out.

Uncanny Avengers restarted at 1, with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch going on a quest to find out who their father is, revealed during Axis not to be Magneto. Because that was a great idea. If we're keeping track Polaris now is his daughter, while Pietro and Wanda aren't. Yes, I mad. At the other side, Secret Avengers (because there aren't enough Avengers books, mind) has been quite the amusing read. I especially like books where they take characters that aren't particularly popular or even conceptually interesting and make them great. Modok is hilarious here. Could also chalk the quality of the book to it not being stuck in twenty different storylines like the others.

Wolverines still suck. Thor (Thirl?) got annoying. The first book was absolutely horrible, didn't even introduce the new Thor until the last page. The second and third books were okay, she did her thing and Odinson lost his arm and got the metal arm (Which took long enough to finally explain), and the last book this week was horrible again. I'm okay with swapping like this if it's done well, but I tend to take issue with author avatars. The whole "She just is better with Mjolnir than Odinson instantly", and really any "new character" that is instantly and inexplicably better than their original always annoys me and is just shoddy fan fiction level writing. Silk does it in Spider-Man, and Thor (Ghor?) does it here.

Not that I'm trying to sell it hard, because it's honestly nothing special. Fairly derivative of Kaiji.

The artist is pretty notorious for drawing one face in response to anything surprising occurring.

I really liked the first run of Uncanny Avengers until the end & I feel like this relaunch is, quality wise, closer to the end of that first series than it is to the beginning. Unless it picks up I'll probably drop it.

New Avengers was mostly more of Reed playing smartest guy in the room until Pym showed up with the Beyonders. I can already see where this is going, dunno if I like it, but may have to just deal if it means we get a streemlined continuity out of it.

Not reading Wolverines. I'm curious, as I've seen the TPB of Death Of Wolverine & have thus far not bought it, but was it any good? I loved Wolverine: Origin, then bought Origin II & hated it. Yet I loved the Wolverine Origins ongoing (but when you get Steve Dillon to draw something I'll probably buy it) Hell, Origin II it made the original Origin worse just by existing.

So ya, is it any good or am I fine just knowing that Wolverine is dead at the moment?

Oh & Carnage showed up in Nova.

You're better off just knowing he's dead. I might be biased against Wolverine, but the ending was just ridiculously anticlimactic by any standard.

I could have done without the whole "Call me Alex" speech near the beginning of Uncanny Avengers.

Fairy Tail: Time Skip Edition - A year later, and we're back at chapter 1. Lucy looking for Fairy Tail, meeting Natsu first, and destroying property. More fan service this go-round, though.

Incursion: Earth 616 is in very, very deep ****. I honestly can't imagine anything worse for 616 than having Ultimate Reed Richards team up with the Cabal (while universes die around them). I LOVED evil Reed from the Ultimate Universe & cannot wait for him to go up against Earth 616. Its getting good...

Ms. Marvel: Still one of the best books Marvel puts out.

Saga: Still probably the best ongoing I'm reading at the moment.

I thought he was zombied in one of the first Marvel Zombies books. I kind of wish they'd show those particular universes
Omegavegeta wrote:

Agreed, though it has gotten a little slow since the first two arcs.

I'm a little ticked at Spider-Man 2099 getting axed. Only reason they brought Miguel back was to plot contrivance Spider-verse. At least Spider-Gwen is getting a book.

There's an Infinite Comic, Avengers - This Sceptre'd Isle, that expands on the scene at the end of Winter Soldier. To say the least they're not Inhumans, though the revelation is no less annoying if it's the kind of thing that can get under one's skin.

New event started, X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy. I remember when there'd be like two or three events a year, and now we're overlapping one over the other. Guardians playing D&D, but other than that it seems to be a continuation of what occurred in Wolverine & The X-Men when the Hellfire Preschool Circle started their own school to compete with Wolverine's, except with villainy and such. I could dig that, though it is kind of becoming over-saturated with Guardians, kind of like how there was those couple of years where everything was Deadpool.

Which, kind of segueing to the new Ant-Man book, mother-f***ing Taskmaster! So already a book I'm keeping an eye on.

If I recall correctly, Ultimate Reed found the zombie universe & brought over the F4's zombied counterparts before defeating them. However, this was well before Sue dumped him and he went evil the first time (he was defeated & left in the negative zone if I recall correctly). When he came back from that he created his City & Children, they destroyed half of Europe, all of Asgard, & it was pretty ******* cool. Ultimate Fury should know better than to enlist him, but desperate times and all that.

Although I thought Ultimate Fury was running around on Earth 616 now?

Saga has been slow for the last couple issues, but I still love it.

X-Men & Guardians wasn't bad. I'm reading Legendary Star Lord & All New X-Men so I get where it's going from those books. And heck, who doiesn't want to see Gamora with Cosmic killing powers?
