Sookie done gots her some spirit powers!

Cool episode, and more Eric, which I like. I kinda hope Tara gets turned, just because I feel like she'll stop whining so much. Bah, food... who needs that? Still no idea where the Sam + family story is going, and Chrystal is an interesting twist... nymph of some kind? Fairy? Wanna see where that goes.

Keeping me entertained, bring on the next episode!

In the books, Crystal is a "something"... Smiley: grin She's a medium character, and a major plot-driver for a couple of books. In the books Tara is actually only a very minor character, although around in the background as Sookie's old childhood friend, and one of the many townsfolk.

The TV series and books are SO divergent now. Really the only thing that is left between them is what people's name's are, and WHAT people are.

I don't think you can blame Tara for being whiny. That's some really scary ****** up **** being kidknapped from home by a vampire that is as strong and fast as hell, who keeps you physically weak from blood loss.

I was surprised by what happened to Franklin in this weeks ep. Loved his craziness last week over the phone call from Lafayette.

I love Eric, so the more screen time the better. Interesting to see how the rest of this season will play out.

Good episode. Kinda messed up. Between watching men make out, seeing a girl tear out pieces of her lover's throat, and then watching someone's head get mashed up with a morningstar, I'm starting to think this is the most messed up series I have seen. But totally entertaining, and I can't wait to see how it ends.

Also, Eric is my heterosexual man-crush. He is pretty damn sexy.

A man of taste!

Not sure what I think of Jesus and Lafayette...It seems a bit odd to me.

I thought it was adorable. Lafayette needs to find a good man. But I couldn't help wondering what was going to be wrong with him. Something always goes wrong.

I just have such a hard time with the whole vampire trend right now. This is the one with vampires, right?

Yeah, but they're the sexy!BAMF variety, not the wangsty, pansified, teeny-bopper Twilight brand.

This.

Something about Jesus' expression when he asked if Lafayette was a drug dealer made me wonder what his intentions are. Guys who work in Merlotte's do not own cars like that.

About the car You saw the episode where Eric gave Lafayette the car for a reward for dealing V, right? Also the episode where Lafayette has his mother or someone in a fancy nursing home, which will be where all his money is going, which is why he's working two real blue-collar jobs and the drug dealing and still doesn't have all that much money for himself, right?

Well, it's like really well shot soft-core ****/soap-opera/slight guro of the blood-spilling type/sweet, quirky, small-town house-on-the-prairie-swamp TV show.

Lots of drool-worthy men and women. Lots of shenanigans. Embedded liberal homilies. And gratuitous sex and violence.

Ok, Yes.

Apparently, I'm going to be jumping on this bandwagon. I'll hunt up the prior seasons (hope they're on DVD somewhere).

I'm dying because I can't see ep 8 just yet. Ep 7 FINALLY had Claudine pop up. Although like the rest of the TV series, they've reinvented her narrative, although probably not what she is, or the kind of relationship she has with Sookie.

It's a shame they didn't spend more on special effects on the place Claudine took Sookie. Just having the bunch of them run around in tulle doesn't quite cut it, unless you are 6.

Also, the TV series seems to be getting bloodier and bloodier, which isn't bad, if you have the stomach for it. The books imply a lot, but the writing leaves out a lot of detail, unlike the Anita Blake stuff. So a sexual orgy, or a devastating battle in the Sookie books are strangely lustless or goreless.

EDIT: Saw episode 8.

OH

MY

GOD

Ya, from carrying & speaking to the remains of Talbot in a jar to cutting to Tiffany with the weather, Russel was pretty awesome in this episode.

So, Sookie's a fairy of some sort, right? Wondering what the deal is with Lafayette's powers & his BF too.

Also, I'm going to miss Franklin. He was psychotically awesome.

But not quite as much as I'll miss Cooter.

I feel like finishing an episode of True Blood this season is like being told I'll be on bread and water for the rest of my life. I can't wait for the last few episodes to be shown, and at the same time, I dread them being over. This is like TV crack. DON'T TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME. NUUUUU, DON'T LET THE SHOW BE OVERRRRRRR....

I have one, and only one problem with what the scriptwriters have done with the Sookie storyline. Major spoiler for next season, corresponding to the 4th book: Sookie is single at the start of the 4th book. The major plotline of the book, involving the fantastic game-changing total amnesia of one of the major characters, relies on Sookie being single. This 3rd series is almost over, and so far the scriptwriters don't seem to be breaking Sookie and Bill up. I'd be really sad if the TV series never does the amnesia plot of the 4th book, because it's my favourite part of the whole book series. It also long term modifies one of the characters.

I have to say, the acting has gotten a little better.

I love Tara. And I don't trust Crystal.
