What's wrong?
Can't sleep, clown will eat me.
The original story from the book was about a journalist going around and interviewing survivors of the war 5 years after it ended. From that point each survivor told him about an important part of their life during that time, and then it sort of flashbacked as they narrated. It was done like a History Channel documentary and it was the reason why the book sold so well.
Hollywood turned it into "Generic Action Movie with Zombies #274".

I honestly think that by using a bunch of my friends and hand-held cameras I could make a movie that would please more WWZ fans than this abomination.
Edit: In fact, when I first heard what the movie was going to be, I actually debated creating a version and putting it on youtube. Alas, I'm lazy and don't wish to be sued into oblivion

I really doubt the original would make as interesting a movie as you think the book is. It'd end up like The Fourth Kind.
