DeHann looks a great Green Goblin, the Rhino suit is a disappointment - and note the Vulture wings and Doc Ock tentacles!

He kind of reminds me of the villain from The Incredibles. At least as the Goblin anyway. I know the joke is that the Osborns have horrible hairstyles but goddamn is that an award winning stinker. I don't know if he's on his way to a My Chemical Romance concert or to suck a ****. MechaRhino reminds me of the second Rhino that briefly showed up in the comics who ended being part of a good storyline. Fat chance of that here since it involved the original organic-like skin version, but oh well. Nice use of items to set up future movies. Jamie Foxx looks better as Electro than I had feared, and I must say I'm definitely glad the spidey-suit is more vibrant and with the white eyes. The other one was kind of meh to me. The brief fight between the two looked pretty sweet.

Phone doesn't view embedded videos so I youtubed. Opinion based on that, not sure if same video.

I wonder if their going to take all the deleted scenes regarding Peter's parents from the first film and put them into #2 in order to explain the Peter's parents scenes in the 2nd. Please don't make Aunt May a liar. She's almost like patron saint of comic book characters in her goodness (& secretly more powerful than almost anyone!)

Definitely looks pretty, and I liked the first one well enough that I'll go see this one too. Probably in the local drive-in like the first one since it should be hopefully opening around march-april next year!

I think they hit one of Spider-Man's innate problems for the lay viewer -- I have no idea who glowie blue guy is and I don't especially care based off the preview. The only Rhino I remember is the guy who looked like he was wearing pyjamas from the old cartoon Smiley: grin

I'll probably see it at some point but nothing in the preview made me excited to see it.

Edit: Green Goblin was in the preview? Really? As GG? 'Cause I obviously missed that.

GG @ 23sec, 1:33 and 1:53. I'll assume Harry Osborne is him.

Glowie blue guy is Electro, played by Jamie Foxx

The Rhino looks like the one from the Ultimate Spider-man game from back in the day (2005). In the game, the Rhino is more of a mech suit then a man in a rhino outfit who is juiced up.

I'm a sucker for Spider-man, so I totally can't wait Smiley: grin

And I'm seeing May 2nd as opening day.

Thanks. Blink and you miss it (at least him in costume)

And I gathered from the thread the blue dude is "Electro" but he might as well be named "Guy I Never Heard Of & Know Nothing About". Smiley: laugh

Spidey doesn't have a very deep bench of bad guys that your average person would recognize, I reckon.

Spidey is like the only Marvel character with a rogue's gallery at all.

Pretty sure the blue guy is Black Vulcan, he needed work after DC disowned his ***.

But seriously it's Electro, who has never been black in any version of the series. Hell, they even made him the Red Skull's son once.

Electro is one of Spidey's earliest villains. He just kinda got outshadowed by Doc Ock, and the Green Goblin/Hobgoblin/someothergoblins... Still, he was a step above some of the more cheesy villains like Mysterio (basically a guy with a fishbowl on his head who's powers are, and I'm not making this up, just special effects tricks), or the Sandman. I suppose Rhino and Scorpion also fall into that list of B (C?) level bad guys. Ok. There's a whole list of random bad guys. Remember that Spidey is one of the older Marvel heroes, so he suffers from the standard "bad guy of the month" syndrome that most early superheroes suffered from. Compared to some of the Batman villains, I don't think he did so bad though.

I do remember one of the best storylines in one of the Spiderman books involved Electro. He'd been relegated to the junk heap in terms of Spidey opponents for years (maybe even a decade or so at the time). So they bring him back, but basically have him walking around lamenting his lot in life. He's got super powers, and arguably some pretty powerful powers, but manages to always get beat and end out in prison no matter how clever the plan he's involved in. He realizes that his problem is that by donning a costume and parading around as a supervillain, he's basically just begging for some hero to come along and take him out. So instead he just puts on a ski mask and a fake plastic gun and starts robbing banks. And what do you know? It works. He makes some money and no super powered heroes show up to stop him.

Honestly don't remember how the story line ended, but I just remember that being funny as hell. I'm sure at some point Spidey got involved in stopping the bank robber with the "stun gun" (cause his name's on the cover, you know), but I don't recall how exactly it went down. It was a good storyline and sorta poked a bit of fun at the whole superhero/villain thing and how stereotypical it can be.

There are only a few Spider-man villains that I like as characters. The Hobgoblin after he had been 'demonized' and split from his demonic half was okay, I guess. Venom and Carnage of course. The Jury. Everyone else I can think of is rather meh.

Doesn't really excite me all that much. I'm big on Marvel's movies but the first Amazing Spiderman was lackluster and this one looks rather bland. I'll check it out when it hits RedBox.

Barely related but there's a farm on my route to and from work where they're shooting the Kent farmstead scenes for the next Superman flick. Same farm they used last time. So I've been watching their daily progress in throwing some slapdash house together for movie purposes that I assume will be kicked over as soon as they're done.

Been quite some time since I read any 'spidey comic books, but I used to like the Dr. Lizard guy as a villain...well whatever his name was.
