First episode was exactly what I was expecting since the end of season 6. Was good nonetheless.

Also this.

Aren't zombies over at this point? How is this show still running?

There are still plenty of zombies. I'm not quite sure what you mean by that.

It's an interesting case on how we put more emphasis on language than we do action. Negan can't say fuck on TV, but he can turn two people's skulls into fine paste. Heaven forbid a kid hear a dirty word.

It was an okay season premiere. I guess it was a bit surprising at there being two deaths instead of one, though it did lessen the (unintended pun) impact of Abraham's death.

I lament the absence of Negan's F-bombs as well. They're such a part of the character's "charm" in the comics. But JD Morgan is doing a great job portraying the character despite what seems like arbitrary censorship at this point -- his body language and swagger convey volumes.

I also just realized today that the actor playing King Ezekiel is the same guy who does the voice of DC's animated Cyborg in Teen Titans, TT:GO, etc. Super-hyped to see/hear him playing the King!

I was expecting to hear some "Booyah!".
I did not.

Sorry, I kept yelling at the tv "Say booyah! Booyah! Say it!" every time he was on screen and he refused. Smiley: frown

Great episode, though. Cyborg and Beastboy Ezekiel and Shiva really stole every scene they were in.

I too punctuated a few key moments with a hearty "Booyah!" since the show itself did not. Enjoyed the episode overall, though. Shiva is pretty darn good for TV CGI.
