I got a choice of 1 handed 2 handed or a shield i picked the shield and got the medium one

As a thane I was able to get a sheild from this quest. The sheild is meduim, has 100% qua, yellew to me at 47, and gives +10 str n con, +8% energy n cold. It's called Beryl Bulwark.

Odd, i took the two handed version of this sword after completing my 40th epic quest and the only thing different from the one handed version spec wise is the delay which is 5.6, understood for a 2 hander should take longer to wield, but at least thought the 2 handed version would have a higher dmg rating then the one handed but its the same at 14.1dmg
The 2-hander is doing crazy dmg though per swing for my 41 warr its between 175 and 260 dmg!! not counting 25% of the time adding another 80 to 220 critical hit dmg. CRAZY SWORD!
Can anyone tell me averages that the 1 hander version is getting for dmg and critical ranges?

2 handed weps have a 15% dmg bonus thats why most 2handers are about the same or just a little bit higher then one handers

The Thane wep actually procs a fire based DD...atleast the Sword does. The reason it does more for you than Twilight is because you are not as capable of using Twilight as well as you areb your epic, wait till Twilight is your proper lvl....aproximatly 46.

I was told that the bonuses are given to you even if the weapon is not equipped but in a slot. Is this true? It does not sound like it should be true. If that is the case, it will change my decision for what type of weapon i choose.

No thats not right the weapon has to be equiped not just in a slot. I use a 1-hander most times and I don't get the bonus from the 2-hander on my back!

these weapons are simply amazing..just got the 1 handed hammer version for my thane last night (woot i hit lvl40 ;o)) and i my 1 handed epic outdamages my 2 handed twilight hammer by about 25-35 points of damage lol..makes me wonder what the 2 handed version woulda hit like

they proc at level 42. emits some sort of ice effect.

it's the lvl 40 epic quest reward
i play everquest and looking at this game looks pretty cool and wandering if there are a number of epics a certin class can do at differnt levels cause on everquest there is just one epic and the quest starts at like lvl 45
