i went to gabriel hounds with a group and looted 2 fiery hound tooths and they were not weapons, they looked like a piece of jewelry and only said 1 count. is this a different item or do i have to turn it in to someone to get the weapon?

Just in case any newbs see this and have the same question, the magical ability is a proc, and it's a random occurence that takes place when something gets whacked by the weapon. So if you hit something with the sword and it procs, it'll do regular sword damage along with a heat-based spell. If the spell works it does a pretty good amount of damage, but it can also be resisted.
