Drops in Malmhous off Kariig. Does NOT drop in Varulvheim. The lords there drop items called Regal or Royal (all I've seen so far) and the items all seem to be Hot Pink/Mauve color. Kariig can be located near the southern most camp of Svartalfs in Malm, right before it shifts to the werewolves.

Zarff: Well i found it in patch 1.47 since im a lvl 50 rm i could just farm Desukva and Kariig in malm solo! Seems harder to farm there in 1.48 but those two alfs really drop nice caster stuff. I've got the blue, the red, the black and the yellow diamondstaff from them.

I am a full spec supression runnie. I was in a group of 4 level 43's, we camped all 3 lords(fire, ice, and lightning ones) for 3 days to try and get one. Must have killed them about 10 times each. Never saw this drop. Only runemaster staff that droped was one similar to the red diamond, with 50lvls of runecarving.

This staff also drops off the High Lord in Varulvhamn. This monster is part of the new area. He was orange to me at 40. Myself (40 skald) and a very skilled 43 warrior were able to take the room and finally the High Lord.
I would recommend clearing the advisors first, as you will want a clean pull. The High Lord employs a damage shield.
