What is with this EQ-like selling items mentality. The items have no value. You sell them to the merchant and get almost nothing for them, and cash becomes abundant by higher levels anyway. Plus items degrade.
Why not just give the item to someone that's needing when you're finished with it?
Or keep it for a guildy...

Anyone know what a fair price is for a stat item like this? I sold one when I got something better and had tons of folks jumping on me to buy it at my auctioned price, so I suspect I undersold. Any advice would be appreciated.
Oh BTW got one off of a grass spirit, but another off of a lucragon whelp I think. (one of the baby leprechaun types any way. Level 6 or less)

I got this item from a grass sprite between Mag Mel and Tir na Nog. Grass sprite is around level 2-3.

I found that if i repaired the item, it started
working again

Actually item is a wrist slot....and as far as it stopped working try repairing the item at a smith.

This magic item, as well as several others i have had have stopped working after varying amounts of time. does anyone have any suggestions as to why this effect?

well if u check what other say u have your awnser u need to make it repaired by a smith
