don't forget, (at least in my case, and according to another site) the cloak of the mother wolf quest can't be obtained by runemasters =\

Cloak of the Mother wolf is better, except for maybe casters.

I agree. The Cape of the Mother Wolf is much better, but I did the quest anyway, and donated the Driftspirit Cloak to my guild. Plus I got the coin/experience obtained from the quest as well. :)

This cloak is obtained from a quest, I forget the exact name. I just call it the Driftspirit Cloak quest, but that's not the "offical" one listed in the journal.

You get the quest from Alyarn in Huginfell. She's at the little tents on the west side of town, and is a merchant.
She tells you something with a cloak is draining life from folks and generally doing wierd stuff outside town. Tells some story about a dwarf stumbling into town.

The mob you need to find is Ulga. She spawn northwest of Huginfell, just south of the crossroads. She's a ghostly see-through mob who is wearing a puke-green color cloak, so she sticks out like a sore thumb.
If she gets her spell off, she summons two wayward ghouls, which are rather low and likely gray when you do the quest.
So, just kill her and she drops the cloak. Quest over.

One other point. Ulga is also needed for the lvl11 Spiritmaster quest. If you happen to have the SM quest in your journal, you *have* to complete it first. The cloak won't drop otherwise.
To do both quests, you have to kill her twice. But the SM quest has to be done first.
