Thuxra's Rooty Spear  

This drops off of Thruxa in Cothrom Gorge. From the waterfall, follow the road north for a ways until you see the zonewall bend west a bit. Follow it (its a narrow valley) to the end where you will find a lake. Lots of purple mobs around here. Thruxa spawns here (infrequently) and imediately attacks the named giant Trent that roams nearby (neutral). If you kill him while he is engaged with this mob, he will drop nothing. Which means you have to wait for him to spawn (ugh...) or kill the named Trent (a sad thing for any Hibbie to have to do). Thruxa cons red but is well nigh immune to melee damage (any weapon any speed of any quality will always do 1 damage). You can take him out easy if you have one or two good casters with you. Thruxa drops two spears, the twiggy spear and rooty spear.
