Rift is introducing a new PvP element and needs you to test it! Called Conquest, this new feature allows you to pick a side from three different factions (yes, you can change factions!) and engage in open world, cross-shard PvP battles!

The first test of Conquest is Thursday, 5/17 @ 4:00PM PDT (11:00PM GMT) on PTS.  Be there!  Read more about Conquest on the Rift Blog.

While most of you are probably too busy immersing yourselves in celebratory Diablo III launch day marathons, remember to have a moment of silence for those who just couldn't take the day off. But fear not! For those stuck at work or school, D3DB has a plethora of Diablo III data just waiting for you to discover! You might not be able to play, but at least you can theorycraft the perfect build in D3DB's fantastic character planner!

For everyone else who has spent the past six hours adventuring in Sanctuary, remember that D3DB is having a week-long contest to give away six Turtle Beach Z11 headsets and one Turtle Beach Z6A headset to a few lucky contributors! All you need to do is any one of the following three: upload a useful video to Youtube to add to a database page; upload a high-resolution, high-quality screenshot where needed; or just post a useful comment on any of the database pages. The sweepstakes starts now and will continue until 11:59 PM on Monday, May 21st, 2012.

Happy monster mashing, adventurers!

Have you found that you can travel through a dense and tough to navigate zone like the areas of Elshimo without any issue whatsoever? Can you travel through Pso'Xja without looking at a map or traveling guides? Then the newest contest for Final Fantasy XI might be right up your alley! From May 18th through May 25th, players can hop onto the official Test Server to test their navigating skills, as members of the Community Team will stow away in remote zones, and the first individuals to find them will be able to receive the rare Chocobo Beret in-game item!

Want to talk about this newest contest? Feel free to discuss this on the ZAM forums!

The Old Republic Q+A #2

It's time to talk Star Wars with Bioware. The bi-weekly Q+A's second session starts up, including guild capacity caps, the Alacrity stat, and issues with Huttball. There's some spoilery stuff in there, though, hidden behind a log-in, that talks about storyline stuff with the Sith Warrior.

Another beta weekend for the hotly anticipated The Secret World, this time dealing with Kingsmouth again, but adding even more quests and characters, starting this Friday the 18th. Best yet, if you're not a US player, there's a ton of websites in France and Germany and whatnot that have beta key giveaways to those without the pre-order access.

Storybricks is a game that defies being categorized. In the struggle to describe it, Namaste Entertainment's debut game has been compared to NeverWinter Nights, Minecraft, The Sims and a whole range of other popular titles. Yet none of these come close to creating an accurate picture of what Storybricks is or what Namaste hope to offer to us.

To help me in my quest to find the right words for this game, I sat down with Namaste's MMO architect Brian "Psychochild" Green and community manager Kelly Heckman. As we walked through the early alpha build of Storybricks, I discovered what drove the team to create this unusual title and why they've turned to KickStarter for help to develop it further.

Thanks to IGN, there's a slew of new Mechwarrior previews up today, showing off the light, medium, heavy, and assault classes, as well as a general game preview and a MechLab display.
