DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Kelleher says, "Let me look you over there for a minute whippersnapper, can't you young people hold still for even a minute these days? Why, back when I was your age, we respected our elders and listened to their stories. In fact, those stories led me down [paths of glory] you can't even begin to imagine!" Andras says, 'Kelleher! Are you bothering the kids again?' Kelleher says, "Don't tell me my business, woman! This here's an old friend of mine... er, what's your name? ... ______, that's right. ______ was just asking to hear some of my [grand stories] of adventure." Andras says, 'Listen to me ______, he does this all the time, he's got delusions of grandeur. He inflicts these stories on everyone passing by.' Kelleher says, "Delusions?? You can't be serious. Every story I tell is [true]!" Andras gives Kelleher a quelling look and he lowers his voice. Kelleher says, "She is always on about the same thing. She claims I don't do enough to help her. But I already did my bit! I went on a few raids and collected on a few bounties. That should be enough, right? But noooo, she says that if I'm going to spend time with my buddies down at the pub I've got to [spend time with her] too." Kelleher says, "That's right, spend time just talking! How boring is that? When I could be down at the pub with my friends re-living the [good ole days]!" Kelleher says, "Have you ever tried to listen to a woman? I just don't understand them at all. First she complains about me, then in the same breath she says she loves me. So anyway, we're down here on what she calls a [togetherness project]. She says that if we spend time together we'll get closer." Kelleher says, "Here now, would you mind talking to her for a few minutes? I need a breather. Thanks young'un!" Will you talk to Kelleher and his wife in order to get some well-worn equipment? [Level 20] You have been given the Kelleher's Hand-Me-Downs quest. Andras says, "Has my man been talking your ear off, Thane? He claims that I do all the talking, but he's really the one with the mouth. You should hear him with his buddies down at the pub. Brag brag brag about stuff they never really did. Why, they're [too old to remember] which stories are even theirs!" Andras says, "I told Kelleher that I wasn't giving him one more copper for the pub until he started [spending some time] with me." Andras says, "That's right, I put my foot down. I'm the one that still works to put bread on the table, and I think it's unacceptable for me to work all day while he cavorts with his friends. All I want is a little time for us. That's not [too much to ask], is it?" Andras says, "So I came up with this idea. We have a whole bunch of old armor and equipment from the old days. It's pretty worn, but it's better than nothing for someone new to adventuring here. Every day Kelleher and I spend a little time together looking for folks that might need some help [getting outfitted]." Andras says, "It gives him a chance to brag about his adventures to the new people in town and we get a little time together. If you need some armor I'm sure Kelleher would be happy to see if we have something that would fit you." Kelleher says, "I have to admit I do like having a new audience for my stories, and things at home have been a lot more pleasant too. Plus, I hope folks are using the equipment to pick up the [fight in the frontier] where I left off. I sure do miss the good old days when I could take down a few Hibernians every time I swung my weapon." Kelleher says, "Let me look at you again. Let's see... an average Norseman... and a pretty good Thane by the looks of you. I wonder what I have that would fit properly. Here, let me [go through] some of this stuff." Kelleher starts tossing leggings and tunics and shields everywhere, muttering to himself the whole time. Kelleher says, "No, that is too big, and this is worn so thin it wouldn't stop a butter knife! Hrm, let me hold this up to you and [see how it looks]." Kelleher says, "These gloves bring back memories. They kept my hands from freezing while I battled an entire frost giant camp single-handedly. They look like they'll fit you [perfectly]." Kelleher says, "You take these and good luck to you, _______. Don't forget to say goodbye to Andras." You receive a Second-hand Pansarkedja Hauberk from Kelleher! You receive Second-hand Pansarkedja Leggings from Kelleher! You receive Second-hand Pansarkedja Sleeves from Kelleher! You receive Second-hand Pansarkedja Boots from Kelleher! You receive Second-hand Pansarkedja Gloves from Kelleher! You receive a Second-hand Pansarkedja Coif from Kelleher! Andras says, "Oh good, I'm so glad he [found something] that would suit you!" Andras says, "But hrm, I'd say something is missing. Of course! That silly man didn't give you a weapon! Some old armor isn't going to do you a lick of good if you don't have [a weapon] to attack with. You just wait right there and I'll find something for you." Andras says, "Now listen up, I don't know a lot about weapons, so I'm just going to tell you what I have and you can pick one thing. I can't give you the whole armory, so make sure you [choose something] you can use." Andras says, "Where should I start? I have [one-handed swords], [two-handed swords], [one-handed axes], [two-handed axes], [left-handed axe], a [slashing spear], a [thrusting spear], [composite bows], [one-handed hammers], [two-handed hammers], a [slashing hand to hand] weapon, a [piercing hand to hand] weapon, [small shields], [medium shields] and [large shields]. What will it be?" Andras says, "Kelleher says he got this in an epic battle with an entire band of svartalf, but it actually was an old cast-off his cousin gave him. Don't let on I told you though, he sure enjoys telling his stories. I hope you enjoy defending our realm as much as he did. Best of luck to you here, ______!"
