DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different
Characters that were created after Patch Version 1.79 do not receive this Epic quest.
You must have completed the Traveler's Way quest, Stones of Power, before getting this one.
Given by the trainers upon reaching lvl 11.
Wizard trainer -- Master GrundelthSorceror trainer-- Magus CormacMinstrel trainer -- Master Dubri
The trainer gives you an ancient book and tells you to go to guard tower near Prydwen Keep in Camelot Hills east of Camelot City and give to sage in the tower. Then Sage Nelson inside then instructs you to go to south black mountains to the guard tower south of Ludlow and give ancient book to the sage there. Sage Lissa instructs you to take it to 1 of the 2 towers at the bridge north of Ludlow and give it to the sage in it. Then Sage Crystal gives you a riddle to complete (there seems to be 3 riddles different ones, of which he will only ask you one, they are not class specific).
Answers for riddles:
*books
*stars
*shoe
After you've gone to the 3 sages, the last one tells you to return to trainer for a reward.
Sorceror Walkthrough:
1). Speak to Magus Cormac in the Academy in Camelot.
Magus Cormac says "Well met. You look like things are a bit slow and you are in need of some extra coin. How would you like [something to do] ?
Magus Cormac says, "I require the use of your brain more than the use of your brawn today. A few days ago, an ancient book was uncovered near Stonehenge. Whoever wrote this book must have been wise."
Magus Cormac says, "It seems to be written in three anguages and I can not seem to untangle the words within. I do know of three women that can. [Three sages] were dispatched to study the weather at three towers."
Magus Cormac says, "Each of them is also a master of three different, [ancient languages]. I know enough to figure out what the language is, but understanding it is a different matter."
Magus Cormac says. "You must first find the tower in Camelot Hills that Sage Nelson has been assigned to. She has studied the Lemnian tongue, spoken on the island of Lemnos. She will tell you the location of the [other two]."
Magus Cormac says, "The other two sages are at different towers. Just take the book to them and let them have a look at it. I still know not what puzzled them about the [weather] there."
Magus Cormac says, "The academy has decided to watch the weather in hopes of someday, being able to see into the future and know if it will rain in a few days. What a daft notion. [About that book]..."
Magus Cormac hands you a book...
2)...Ok, run through Camelot and take a right at the end of the street through Cotswold Village. Keep running a short while until you see a guard tower. Talk to Sage Nelson. Follow the prompts until she asks to see the book. Give her the book. She mumbles on a little then gives you the book back.
3). Run to the guard tower just south of Ludlow and speak to Sage Lissa and again follow the prompts, hand the book over and receive it back.
4). Run to the bridge north of Ludlow, cross it and go to the guard tower on your right at the other side and do the same once agin with the sage there. Sage Crystal will then ask you to solve a simple riddle.
5). Now return to Camelot (shortest way is south over the bridge and follow the path to your right, passing by Humberton).
6). Go back to the Academy and again speak to Magus Cormac.

Everytime I do this I get no response from the NPC,
I've tried typing [enter] then books- I've tried[Enter] then /say books. Zilch, I am officially at my wits end, the solcalled walkthroughs are anything but. Help appreciated, sarcasm & condesenscion can go where the sun don't shine.
Good--the answer is this--[the binding of a book].
Type it just like that and you will be sent back to your trainer for your goody. Good Luck fellow Minstrels! Maille, Merlin
Dracyl

~~bedevere
Ceamonkey
Lvl 11 Wizard on Lancelot
Sorenzo
Taam lv 12 wiz that mizzed...:(
No harm done though since the reward kinda sucks.
I received a level 12 Magic ring that increased charisma and dexterity. Very nice :)
Now if only I could dye those stupid green leggings...
Branan
11 Wizard (Albion)
Brigand
Sorenzo the wizard that got the quest
Anyways, the quest is similar but the reward is class-appropriate. Meaning that a wizard gets a ring boosting ice, and a sorceror gets a ring boosting body.
