DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Talk to Sir Defi in Snowdonia. He will ask you to take a document to Brother Don at the Abby in the Southern Black Mountains. Brother Don will give you a small amount of experience and money along with a wax-sealed note to take back to Sir Defi. Upon receiving this note, Sir Defi will give you approximately 12 silver and decent experience.

Please read WHEN they are complaing before you call others names. It was 3 months ago and for all we know the information back then WAS listed as an ALL character quest.
yah really

Some people are just stupid. Look at what the guy before me wrote. All you armsman and thuergists etc. whining about it being a fake cause you can't get it.. IDIOTS. READ THE INFO. IT ISN'T FOR YOU
Great stupidity...

Seems like a lot of people just pay no attention at all.

1) This is CLERIC and PALADIN (and maybe Friar, but I don't think so), ONLY. Theurgists, Armsmen, you suprised you didn't get it is. This is why, it's VERY simple...

2) It is a Quest, not a task, appears in your Journal, and is multi-stage, and untimed, unlike tasks (see Mythic's OWN distinctions between Quests and Tasks). Remember #1, you can't get this quest unless your are a Cleric or Paladin. So stop trying with your Infiltrators, Theurgists, etc., and then saying "My character couldn't get it, therefore it doesn't exist..."
Here is what I know

Okay here are the facts as I see it. I do not know the minimum level for this quest but I do know its "church only". This means only paladins and clerics can do it. Its logical since the fortress is controlled by church knights. It is a quest since it appears in your journal. As a level 25 paladin I finished while I was just roaming and hunting. The end of the quest hints at a larger story that can be developed with further quests.
Church only

Looks like only the Characters who belong to the Church of Albion can do this quest, I got that quest with my lvl 11 Paladin.
This quest

This is a quest not a task. It was offered to my 23 Cleric. Supposed to take the note to Sir Don in the 'abbey' in N Black Mountains (or was it South?). I'm thinking it's a Cleric only quest since he's talking about the church a lot in the text.
Are you sure it is for ALL?

I am a lvl 10 Sorcerer, I talked to Sir Deni at Snowdonia Fortress. Nothing, no task, quest, or anything.

I've looked everywhere in Snowdonia Castle and even asked the guards for that "Sir Defi" and I didn't saw him anywhere.
RE: Sir Defi
# Nov 18 2001 at 6:14 PM Rating: Decent
Make sure you're at the CASTLE. It's the huge one with the rising portcullises and giant swinging doors you need to flip a switch to enter.

Go up to the second floor and go all the way around, looking at every guy in armor. One of them is Sir Defi.

I talked to him at level 11 and couldn't get anything out of him. I'm beginning to doubt the validity of this quest, too many people have stated that it didn't happen to them.

Oh, I'm an Armsman if it matters. ;)

First, its a Realm Gate for those who knows it as such.
Secondly, i hate to repeat AVERYONE! by saying that is is a paladin/cleric quest. Those that are confused should look more at the quests from Midgaard, where its hard to get a all-class quest. We should be happy!

Sir Defi wouldn't give me the quest. I'm a level 10 Theurgist.
RE: hmmm
# Nov 14 2001 at 4:39 AM Rating: Default
Because, as stated below, this is most likely a task and not a quest.
RE: hmmm
# Nov 15 2001 at 10:38 AM Rating: Default
No, can't be a task, as it has a return trip. In addition, for the level listed, there's NO way you'd get 12sp for a task, not even two tasks.
RE: hmmm
# Nov 15 2001 at 7:56 PM Rating: Default
seems like a really long ways to travel for a task as well
Where?
# Nov 07 2001 at 10:34 PM Rating: Default
Where is Sir Defi located at? I searched Snowdonia station and couldn't find him there or at the keep that is north of the station.
RE: Where?
# Nov 08 2001 at 3:38 AM Rating: Decent
The Keep is Snowdonia Castle. That is where Sir Defi is on the second floor. Snowdonia Station is the single building some distance South of the Castle. Also, the only exp you get is when delivering the message to Brother Don. When take the second message back to Sir Defi you will get 12sp for your efforts.
This sounds like a task
