Talk to Guardian Adraste near the well in Tir na mBeo, he'll tell a story about a war between Firbolgs/Celts and the Elves a long time ago, in particular one person who was so evil and killed so many elves that after he was slain, all of his belongings were slain, except a few that were so imbued with evil that they could not be destroyed and only hidden away instead. Rumors have reached him that someone has found the location of one of the items, a cursed bracer that no elf will touch.

Andraste asks you to go retrieve the item, which is found on a Rolling Stone on the east side of the lake, in the spot where the stone & rock sheeries spawn (it also says you might need to kill stone sheeries for him to appear;
The Rolling stone spawns about half way between Scarnose and the south end of the lake. (loc=43448, 33081 Silvermine Mountains). This gets you a Cursed Stone Bracer, which you're told to take back to Andraste.

Andraste gives you three options: keep the bracer as is (it's supposedly cursed, I didn't try it on so I don't know what happens if you keep it), give it to him for a small reward, or cleanse it of the curse. I chose to cleanse it, whereupon he instructed me to travel to the northeast corner of the lake to a moss-covered standing stone where ghastly siabra spawn and find the Fallen One, who spawns only at night. Again, I'm told you might need to kill ghastly siabra to get him to spawn and only spawns once per 24 hours. Possible spawn locations: 53024, 39570 OR 44600, 33000 OR 52695, 40093 (these are all very close together)

Unfortunately there are two or three standing stones where ghastly siabra spawn in that area, and the one he turned out to be at wasn't even particularly moss-covered. It ended up being the large rock about midway between the parthanan farm and the small buildings south of it.

Give the Fallen One the cursed bracer, and hill hound(s) will spawn. I only got one spawn, but the Fallen One kept telling me to kill the hounds (plural), so perhaps it's possible to have multiple mobs appear, or maybe it's just a text error. After I killed the hound, the Fallen One attacked me.

Killing the Fallen One resulted in a Stone Bracer.

Reward:
  Stone Bracer

the "moss covered stone" that they have you look for is the last one before the trees which have the crududgeon camp in them heading south along the shore past the parth farm. just look for the tree lying on the ground that looks like it's pointing at it. its right at the southern tip. he seemed to spawn on the west side of the stone for me. hope this helps.
Rolling Stone spawn.

The Rolling stone spawns about half way between Scarnose and the south end of the lake. It is a daytime only spawn and looks like a stone sheerie. Comes in a group also with a rock sheerie so plan on fighting multiples. killing stone sheeries will help make it spawn.

i found the fallen one on the path coming from MM to parth. Juast as you come to the bend around the river, he was straight into the trees toward the Moss/Clubmoss sheeries.

I found easiest to go to island between ardargh and howth (scuttles the bear island),stand on rock on far side looking at mountain directly in front of island. Between the sheerva standing on mountain on right and first tree and left is where rolling stone will spawn. Found first thing in morning works best, only had to kill a couple of stone sheeries to make him spawn.

ok all u have to do is follow the shore line east of the lake from howeth..ok i know its a long shore line but it goes all the way to the tower thats across from u when u are east ,thats also north of howeth...any way u have to check first for the spawn if its spawned before u kill the stone sheeries and waist your time doing so ..also after every de-spawn u got to start all over ...make sure u look low along the water shore line as well as near the top of the hill going allong also..i counted about 4 to 5 areas that the rolling stone can spawn .so in any case where did i find the spawn it was the 1 east and south of the tower across from the fishing bears on the island near the top of the hill along the shore line GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HUNTING perfect007

Ok finding the rolling stone was a pain, if you swim accross the lake from Howth and travel up the shoreline north you will pass though a pile of Siabras so be careful. On your way along the right side on the hill there are a bunch of Sheeries all along as you head north. Now you will approach a small patch of trees. Right before this is where some Sheeries continue to spawn during the day. This is where I found the rolling stone but after several tries.

Now as for the Fallen One: He is a Ghastly Siabra due south of Parth farm by Mag Mell. Loc 53024, 39570, 5363 is by a big rock where he usually spawns heading towards midnight.

I had the same problem as well. I tried to give him the bracer but he will not accept it. Also speaking with him (cons neutral) will cause him to attack. While he is attacking he tells you to kill the hounds over and over. Hehe one problem: there are no hounds. I ended up killing him and it said that his death had removed the curse on the bracer. I checked and it did not. After filing a bug report with Mythic, I promptly crashed. lol. I relogged and found the bracer was now uncursed and ready to go.

Still spawns?

Anyone who has seen Rolling Stone, please post how you got it to spawn. I killed stone sheeries for a long time, no Rolling stone.

After killing 10's of these buggers I finally saw him. He is north of the stepping stone past all the Sheevras. You come round the corner of the hill and the ones you need to kill are right there. Loc approx 44600 by 33000. They only spawn during the day. If you continue north you will find another grp of Sheeries that spawn at night as well...these aren't them.

Hope this helps

Really having trouble getting the Rolling Stone to appear. My warden friend has been there 3 times and last night we killed sheeries by the dozens for over an hour.

Does this thing ever spawn?? So much for my sheerie faction!

I found out about this quest originally from one of the wandering bards who tell you "so-an-so in such-and-such is looking for help with some task or other". Possibly there are some restrictions on who can get it...for instance, the item is something "no elf will touch", perhaps the quest is not available to some classes or races. It worked for a Celtic Warden.

Fallen ones are also available near the very north end of the lake...head east into the woods from the north tip of the lake at night and there's some ghostly siabra, and possibly fallen ones.

I tried to get assigned this quest at lvl 33 (Champion) and got dissed. My guess is a level cap.

Killed Stone Sheeries as directed for 4 game days straight, all gray to me. No Rolling Stone.
I had seen it before, near where Scar Nose spawns.

Actually there is a chance your char just can't do this quest. Not all characters can do all quests.
