Starts in Typhons Reach -- just east of Oceanus Anatole.

Talk to Almgar at 6k, 30k in Typhons Reach.

Walkthrough by Clackdor:
After first talking to Algar you must kill a lava beetle, which are all over near the lava flow, and a salamander(loc=7500, 13000 this is not a salamander hatchling nor a Livid salamander), which are to the north behind the large very purple sphinx looking guys. We hugged the north zone wall and approached from the east. After killing both return to Algar. You will lose your jaw and salamander oil when you talk to him and get a ring.

Algar tells you to bury the ring you get from him in the circle of stones south of the temple. The loc is 26000, 41000 and is really easy to find. Orange con siam-he are in the area. When you get teh message "This looks like the circle Algar described" or something like that, /dig to dig a hole and /bury to bury the ring. Return to Algar.

Algar tells you to kill a siam-he and meet him back at the circle. At the circle you will see a ghostly image of Cenalon. Algar gives you the jaw back. Put it on the hot key and use it (E+# by default). Cenalon will collapse. Algar then tells you that in order to complete the quest you must kill Velnar.

Velnar is at 23000, 20000 (aso seen at loc=21000 20000) and is an easy orange con. Return to Algar at the original meeting spot. He will then give you the ring that corresponds to your class. Personally, I wish I could choose because I got the Ring of Might and I would have rather had the Ring of Speed. Such is the way of things.

Algmar says, "Pardon me good Armswoman, could you spare a few moments to [hear my tale]?"

Algmar says, "I come from the land of Stygia. Several days ago the siam-he used their evil magic to raid my land. They were able to sneak up to us undetected and capture a small group of our warriors, my friend [Cenalon] and I were part of this group."

Algmar says, "They planned to take us here to Volcanus for their sacrifices. They were just about ready to take us back through their portal when Cenalon hit the one who was attempting to bind my hands. This gave me the chance to escape. I wanted to rescue all of my friends but I [had no chance] against the raiders. It was all I could do to escape by myself."

Algmar says, "I was not going to give up on my friends that easily so I sailed across Oceanus holding out hope that I would be able to [rescue them] somehow. "

Algmar says, "I could do nothing by myself against these fiends. It was all I could bear to watch from a distance. I thought that having my friends killed would be unbearable but it got [even worse] as I watched."

Algmar says, "When the time came for Cenalon to be sacrificed, something went horribly wrong. The one performing the ritual must have made some mistake in the ceremony. As the others died, I could see their spirit release at the time of death. This was [not the case] with Cenalon."

Algmar says, "Cenalon's spirit took form of a salamander. His spirit was trapped in this form instead of being released like the others. My people believe that this life is just one step of a greater journey. If I do nothing then Cenalon will be unable to complete this journey. Will you [help] me recapture his spirit and send it on towards its proper place of rest?"

You have been given the Sacrificial Rites quest.

Algmar says, "The first thing we will need to do is to gather the proper materials for the ritual that must be performed. [These materials] may be collected by slaying a lava bug as well as a salamander."

Algmar says, "From the lava bug you should be able to obtain one of its claws. This will be used as the sacrificial dagger in the ritual. From the salamander you will be able to collect some oil that we will use to purify [the ceremony]."

Algmar says, "Meet back at this location after you have gathered these supplies. There is more preparation needed besides collecting the items. I will do what I can and let you know what else must be done upon your return."

Loc for the circle is step 5 is 20k , 23k

Velnar is approx 24K 20K

Will add more as information becomes available.

Rewards:
  Cenalon's Ring of Power
  Cenalon's Ring of Might
  Cenalon's Ring of Speed

Easier walkthrough (?)

Clackdor's walkthrough is definitely appreciated, but here is a more concise/direct one:

1) From Algmar, head directly east (you'll run into a tiny lava pool. just run around it and keep going) until you find adolescent salamanders. These drop the oil.
- I don't know if the hatchlings drop, but Clack suggested for this not to be the case.

2) From the salamanders, run south to the lava bank. If you don't see lava bugs immediately, head along the bank to the east until you do. These drop the claw.

3) Return to Algmar, receive the next step, and then start to head directly southeast until you run into a stream of lava. Follow this stream (on the south bank) east until you mobs at the temple start to clip into sight (you should be fairly close). Look directly south and you'll see a large rock. Stand in the middle of these rock formations and type /dig followed by /bury.

4) Return to Algmar yet again, receive the next step, and go directly south. Kill the first siam-he devotee you see.

5) Return to Algmar (...) and receive the next step. Return to where you buried the ring (see step 3). Open your bag, left click on the ghostly salamander, right click on the Jagged Claw in your bag, and type /use.

6) Talk to Algmar who should be standing right next to where you purged the ghostly salamander, and receive the next step.

7) !!! To find Veldnar, return to where Algmar originally stands (in the grove of trees), and head directly east until you find a small structure with a spinning disk and a Crazed Adventurer. Stand on top of the Crazed Adventurer and head directly south, southeast - you should end up in Veldnar's lap. If by some stroke of misfortune you fail to follow those directions, his /loc is loc=20000,23000,10000 (rounded, of course).

8) Return to Algmar (at his location in the grove of trees) and obtain your quest rewards.

Hope that helps some people. The other guide is just as well, but I personally am very nit-picky about directions.
Velndar /loc
# Feb 06 2015 at 10:24 AM Rating: Decent
Velndar is at loc=20000,23000,10000, not 23000,20000.
Quote:
The location of Velndar * is approx 24K 20K. He is on top of the incline above the lava in some trees near a rock... not too far from that building with the spinning ring in it (kinda NE from that)
... is a good explanation, but with the numbers backwards.

Velnar always spawn in the same area, but not exactly at the same point. In my case his loc was about 21000 20000.

OK, just finished this one. You will probably need at least two people unless you are capable of taking out a red-con solo. We had no problem with two.

Grouped with one other player, killed Lava Bug but only 1 player got the Jagged Fang, so you have to keep killing lava bugs until everybody gets the fang. Went North from almgar to the sphynx...most conned yellow and were neutral, but two very large mobs that are aggressive. Pulled a salamander out of the ring and the large purple con Sphynx (which nukes with ice blast) agros to protect salamander.

Not sure exactly how you supposed to get lizard without getting agro from the large sphynx.

If you pull the Saladmander from the right hand side of the sphinx area, you won't aggro the big purp guys. They just have a very big aggro range, so you have to be very careful.
