Below is the begining information for the Artifact Bane of Battler, if you know more information please send it in.

Arastia gives this riddle about Battler:

"A power of death an idol of war made a coward's weapon in to a powerful force fight him together for if your band is small know this villain grows stonger as his enemies fall"

Battler - When you zone into Typhon from Anatole, take the SW bridge, run east/northeast and take the east-most bridge to cross. There are a bunch of mobs on this bridge that will aggro, so go slow. After you cross the bridge, you'll see a structure (stronghold)up on a hill. Run around the stronghold in Typhon to cross the bridge into Ashen. The bridge you want to use to get to Battler is just north of there.Cross it, and Battler is just up on the left in the middle of the dead trees.

Bane of Battler drops off Battler at 10k,20k in Ashen Isles (This is a tough fight the mob will level up on killing players and absorb the powers of the dead, so try not to let anyone die.)

Takes 3 Bane of Battler Scrolls to unlock the artifact. Scrolls are said to drop from Taurs in Ashen Isles.

Story Scroll Pieces:
Bane of Battler 1 of 3 -- drops from Ausar Siam-he warlock and Kakhet Siam-he warlock.

Bane of Battler 2 of 3 -- drops off Setau Siam-he warlock, Taharga Siam-he warlock and Sahathor Siam-he warlock

Bane of Battler 3 of 3 -- drops from siam-he plebian, a siam-he sacrificial escort, siam-he chanter and Taharga Siam-he priest

Dialog of the 3 scrolls:
Scroll One
“Long ago, there was a reluctant gladiator of mediocre skill [named Jelord] who wished to live, [and not die at the hands of his enemy combatants]. He knew he wasn’t the strongest, and his life in the arena would be fairly short and unremarkable. Jelord believed in the [power of the gods’], and appealed to a minor god of another people for aid. He approached Ahulane, a god of war, and was given a sword forged by [another] gladiator. All [that was required of Jelord was to] cry Ahulane’s name when he was victorious.

[The sword he was given was] superior to any other weapon a gladiator could wield. [It] was even greater than those crafted by the [elitists] of the Atlantean smiths. [Ahulane] cautioned Jelord on its limitations. While the sword was [a] superior [weapon], and would grant Jelord a measure of skill, a gladiator of greater skill and heart could still defeat him. Jelord accepted the bargain, but was disturbed. There were many gladiators of greater skill and heart, and while the sword would [increase his chances of survival] in the arena, [it was still quite possible for him to] die a bloody death.”

Scroll Two

“[So] Jelord went to Nergal, a god of the [dead, a deity of] a primitive people not far from his home. He told Nergal [that] he had a sword [for] gladiators[,] forged by a god of war, but that he wanted more. He appealed to Nergal, and they made a bargain. Nergal took the sword from Jelord and placed [within it] the essence of the spirits of the greatest warriors in Nergal’s realm. In return, Nergal would gain the souls of those struck down by Jelord’s blade. Jelord, now satisfied that he would have a long life in the arena, took the sword and with every victory, called out Ahulane’s name and claimed his victims for Nergal.

The [spectators of the arena] thought him strange for crying out the names of minor gods barely known to Atlantis, but this only added to his fame. After a few seasons of victory[,] however, Jelord began to feel like he was no longer in control [while he was fighting in the arena]. It seemed his sword [ever] craved the arena, and Jelord [often felt] possessed by its desire for blood. Still, the victims came, and he fought on. A few more seasons passed, and Jelord began to desire more than battle in the arena.

The essence of the warriors trapped in Jelord’s sword, having tasted battle, craved it, and with each victory grew stronger. The sword’s essence had exerted its influence over Jelord. He [left the arena and] became a mercenary, and fought many battles in many wars in many lands. [He] could not be defeated, [but his only passion was to satisfy his craving for] the blood of those [that fell] to his sword. Nergal was pleased, [for with every death came to him a new soul, but] Ahulane was not [so pleased. He created the sword so that Jelord could defend his own life, and in doing so earn glory for Ahulane. But this was no longer arena warfare. It was senseless slaughter, simply for the joy of it.] Ahulane watched Jelord closely, waiting for the day Jelord would break his bargain, and forget to call his name in victory.”

Scroll Three

“[One day, Jelord] went to the [Planes]. There was a period of calm in the world, and he needed battle. Sometime [during] the third trial, facing some minor creature, Jelord neglected to call Ahulane’s name. Ahulane sent a message to his followers, calling for the [retrieval of the] sword he forged, and [for] Jelord’s heart. The sword’s magic would not work against Ahulane’s chosen, and [Ahulane] himself would join the battle. With their god’s bidding, they set out for the [Planes]. They met [Jelord] in Volcanus. Jelord fought well, until he met Ahulane in battle. He fell to Ahulane, but tossed the sword in the lava of Volcanus. It is still in Volcanus, still craving battle, but woe to the one that wields it.”
