Arthirak says, "I know that someday this horrid sentry duty of mine will be given to someone else. Until that day arrives, I just wait here, [patiently] ."

Arthirak says, "Oh (your name) , I am so downtrodden. I haven't even got the mental strength in me to head to the Inconnu Crypt to [deliver] this letter."

[Step #1] Listen as Arthirak slowly and laboriously tells you about the delivery. If he stops talking to you, ask him about [Ectar].

Arthirak says, "Oh thank you (your name) . I'm sorry I'm not more enthusiastic, but I just can't muster the strength right now. Anyhow, this message needs to get to [Ectar] in the Inconnu Crypt."

Arthirak says, "He, or she, I don't know which, is a necromancer. You'll need this map to get to the Inconnu Crypt. all right, please go. I'm too tired from talking with you."

You receive Arthirak's Map from Arthirak!
You receive Letter for Ectar from Arthirak!

[Step #2] /USE the map Arthirak gave you to find your way to the Inconnu Crypt.

You use Arthirak's Map.
From Arthirak, head west down the tunnel, then south at Sergeant Garulon. At Guard Baint, head east and at Caraustram head south. Continue south and head into the drainage hole. When you are through the drainage hole, keep going south. At the first intersection from the hole, head west to the end of the corridor then south to the end of the corridor. You will then need to head west and down the side of the aqueduct to get to the Inconnu Crypt.

[Step #3] Make your way to the drainage hole and go west at the first intersection. At the second intersection, go south to the end. Head west and down the side of the cavern.
  • You'll have to follow the map directions for this quest, no porting to the Inconnu Crypt, to get to Ectar, as the journal only advances when you hit loc=26259,38621,16149 dir=0 Inconnu Crypt, you'll get this pop-up message: "You have entered the Inconnu Crypt. /USE your map again to find Ectar."

  • [Step #4] /USE you map to find Ectar.

    You use Arthirak's Map.
Make you way north up the stairs. Ectar will be on your left hand side in an alcove.

[Step #5] Deliver the note to Ectar. He is north up the stairs in an alcove.
  • Ectar is at loc=25955,33840,16400 dir=344 Inconnu Crypt.

  • Ectar says, "Can I help you with something?"

Ectar says, "Ah, a letter for me. Why thank you (your name) . Here is some coin for your trouble. Good day to you."

This is an example of broken design in
these quests IMHO. If you know where
the target npc is, you port into the
crypt and then go to him the dumb thing
doesnt work, you HAVE to go the the zone
and use the map you're given to enable
the rest of the quest to work.

There are a number of quests like this, and
I think its poor programming and should be
fixed. The fact that its a minority, and most
work as expected is just argument for my case.
