DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

The minimum level for this quest is level 50. This quest results in an item that can be used to help locate the ML 10 gateway. I accomplished the quest on Guinevere Albion with a level 50 Friar accompanied by a level 50 cleric bot. It took me about 40 minutes, but I was taking notes and chatting with friends along the way. Should take even less time for most.

The quest begins in Oceanus Notos at Aerus Haven. Speak to Captain Chryse at the North Gate of the Haven, loc 57100, 58300. He will talk your ear off about a lost treasure or some such blarney. He tells you that you need to dig up a stone tablet buried near some rocks in the center of Sililia's Temple on an island north of Aerus Haven. He hands you a shovel and sends you on your merry way.

From Aerus Haven head North by Northwest to the middle of the three large islands which appear North of the Haven on the /map. The East end of the island is low and has a building on it called the Temple of Kings. The West end of the island is a tall mountain that has Sililia's Temple on top of it. Loc is Oceanus Notos 40200, 37000.

If you are familiar with the Egg of Youth encounter, this is the same place. There is a winding path up the mountain on the Northwest side. It is guarded by many harpies. However, if you are careful in how you approach, there are one or two places where you can climb up the side of the path, fight one harpy or two, and cross the path to climb on up the other side and reach the top of the mountain with a minimum of aggro. Once you get to the top of the mountain, you will receive a message telling you that your presence has agitated the harpies, and they are moving to defend Sililia's lair.

You will be attacked by a group of seven or eight harpies, about half yellow con (at level 50) and half orange. This fight is unavoidable as far as I can tell. Kill the harpies and enter the temple. You will see the very large named harpy Sililia on her nest to one side of the temple. I gave her a wide berth, and she did not aggro me.

Find the rocks at loc 40200, 37000, near the center of the temple. Use the /dig command. Receive the Stone Tablet. Leave the temple and jump off the side of the mountain to avoid harpies, or fight your way down the path, as you see fit.

Return to Captain Chryse at Aerus Haven loc 57100, 58300. Hand him the tablet. He tells you it must be translated. He gives the tablet back along with a letter, and tells you to go see Researcher Sita, located in the center of the Haven with the scholars at loc 57200, 60700.

Hand her the Stone Tablet and the letter. She will tell you that Captain Chryse is trying to trick you, and reads you the contents of the letter, which describes how Captain Chryse is trying to con you.

She tells you how you may turn the tables on him. She sends you into shark infested waters to look at a rock. Exit the North Gate of the Haven and dive into the water. A very short distance North at loc 56400, 48300 there is a large, tall rock with several orange con (at level 50) sharks circling it. I was attacked by three of these sharks.

After killing them I approached the rock and began to use the /search command. I had to /search twice before I found the inscription. Then I had to use the /read command to read what it said. I did not get any further shark aggro during this process. After using the /read command, return to the Aerus Haven and speak to Researcher Sita again (loc 57200, 60700).

She thanks you for the information, and tells you to go deal with the larcenous Captain Chryse. When confronted with his deceit, the good Captain tells you a sob story about his wife and six children, and how he was being mean to you only because the centaurs were mean to him and took away his precious, shiny Medal of Service, along with all his money. If you will go stomp upon the bad centaur bully Saros that has his stuff, he will give you the nifty item he was trying to con you into buying.

The centaur Saros is located South of Aerus Haven in Green Glades beside a large rock at loc 28100, 10400. Saros cons red to level 50 characters. He is alone, however, the area is full of centaurs of all kinds. Proximity aggro is almost unavoidable, particularly from the wandering Centaur Patrollers, who con from orange up to purple (to a level 50 character). They aggro from a mile away, and call all their friends to join in the fun. Once you have dispatched Saros you will receive the Medal of Service, and Pouch of Coins.

Return once again to Captain Chryse. Give him back his shiny and his coin purse. He will express remorse and give you Nimora's Celestial Compass and 50 gold for your trouble. I received no experience. The End.

Item received is Nimora's Celestial Compass, level one item, weight 0.1 lbs, Con 100%, Dur 0% (yes, zero percent durability), Quality 0% (zero quality), Bonus 0% (zip once again). It cannot be equipped. You may use it from your inventory. Place it on your quick bar and /use it like you would a potion or charged item. In your chat window a vague clue as to the location of the ML 10 portal will appear.

Reward:
  Nimora's Celestial Compass
