DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

First talk to Larylle in Ardee upstairs in the main building. She tells you to get her 3 items to make a chain: a silver claw, a broze claw, and a golden claw.

Go to Connla and kill a Water Badger and get a bronze claw. Then swim across from Ardagh and find some Silvermine Badgers kill one get a silver claw. Then it says to find Scar Nose. I found him just a little South of that on the hill by the valley to go up to Dergal. Kill a few Silvermine Badgers and he will pop. Loc. 49670, 20810 or 46740, 24823 I killed him where he stood and got the loc. He was standing near a tree in some tall weeds not too far from a hill. I think it was between the 16th and 17 hour of the day. He con'd green to me at 36. Take the 3 claws back to Larylle and she will give you the necklace.

:

1) First you can find Larylle in Ardee in main building upstairs.

2)She wants you to go get a golden chain off of Luch Catchers in Lough Gur, 19k, 20k. Sometimes the catchers wander out of the forest in front of Culraid by the Dampwood Mite log.

3)Now return to Larylle in Ardee and give her the golden chain(got 1.9mil exp for this part at 41). She sends you out to collect 3 claws.

4)First claw is off a Water Badger, so hop on a horse and go back to Connla where there are water badgers roaming in the river right next to it(in between Connla and the bridge is usually where they roam in the water).

5)Second claw is off a Silvermine Badger, which you can find by swimming across the lake at Ardagh at loc 50k, 23k, they wander around the shore in this area. Dont move this is where Scar-nose spawns.

6) Third claw is off Scar-nose. Here is the easiest way to get him to spawn, kill everything that wanders in this area, walking rocks, spraggonales and badgers, got him to spawn in 15 min by doing this, looks like all the rocks spraggons and badgers are on a random spawn(meaning when a mob is killed it randomly selects which mob will spawn, IE so if you kill a Spraggonale, a rock, spraggon or badger will spawn). So if you kill just the badgers you have a much lower chance of a spawn. Exact loc of where I got him was 48k, 24k right next to a hill by the shore.

7)Return to Larylle for her necklace.

Misc notes: Luch Catcher and Scar-nose were the highest lvl mobs I had to kill, they were both green con at 41. Turning in the claws gave me 1.6 mil exp per and 3.3mil exp on receiving the necklace.

Another path at the start of the quest is Larylle will send you to kill Mermen (Connla Well in Shannon Est) for the gold chain.

Reward:
  Badger Claw Necklace

Found Scar Nose on the eastern shore of the lake in the Silver Mountains. If you look at the Silver Mountains Map and see the words "Fishing Bear Island" we found him to the right of the letter "r" in the word "Bear". Loc 46591 21662 4978. Hope this helps. Good luck.

As a 27 ward I was told to get the necklace from a merman, which can be found at connla's well or in the river near it. (oddly, right where the water bagders are, too bad you have to go back to the npc first)

As for scar nose: spent days searching for him with my bard, killing every badger in sight and no luck. Picked up the quest with my ward, forgetting that I never completed it with the bard. I figured I'd grab the first two teeth anyway, but scar-nose was the first silvermine badger I came to! (Right along the water walking north.) Logged on my bard and went back to the exact same spot and still no luck! Evil little badger. =P

Hey all,
Thought Id write out a little more detailed walkthrough for this quest.

First you can find Larylle in Ardee in main building upstairs. She wants you to go get a golden chain off of Luch Catchers in Lough Gur, 19k, 20k. Sometimes the catchers wander out of the forest in front of Culraid by the Dampwood Mite log.
Now return to Larylle in Ardee and give her the golden chain(got 1.9mil exp for this part at 41). She sends you out to collect 3 claws.
First claw is off a Water Badger, so hop on a horse and go back to Connla where there are water badgers roaming in the river right next to it(in between Connla and the bridge is usually where they roam in the water).
Second claw is off a Silvermine Badger, which you can find by swimming across the lake at Ardagh at loc 50k, 23k, they wander around the shore in this area. Dont move this is where Scar-nose spawns.
Third claw is off Scar-nose.
Obviously return to Larylle for her necklace.
Misc notes: Luch Catcher and Scar-nose were the highest lvl mobs I had to kill, they were both green con at 41. Turning in the claws gave me 1.6 mil exp per and 3.3mil exp on receiving the necklace.
Would like to thank the people above for all the info they posted which made this quest bearable.

48K by 22K at 0130. The Pebble was in the immediate vicinity, and I had recently run through that exact spot, so I think he may have spawned there...

46740,24823,4982 I killed him where he stood and got the loc. He was standing near a tree in some tall weeds not too far from a hill. I think it was between the 16th and 17 hour of the day. He con'd green to me at 36. Finally I can dust off all those other teeth in my vault and head back to get the necklace...which is probably useless by now! But such satisfaction in finally getting him!

I also was told to kill the Luch catchers to obtain the chain, and i have all but one claw, but of course like the rest of you, Scar nose has been a no-show....any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

# Jun 07 2002 at 1:28 PM Rating: Default
this sucks..... heard that scarnose is a rare spawn, but this is too much.... have been there for 3 hours already. i killed more than a hundred silvermine badgers already and he didn't spawn. i even went up the hill to look for it! and still no scarnose. i wonder what's the reason behind rare spawns? i don't see any reason why mythic wants to make it rare...
Scar-nose's Location
# May 21 2002 at 2:20 AM Rating: Default
The exact location where I found Scar-nose was at 49,670, 20,810. Howerver, he wanders around a bit, so you will need to weave through a bunch of other badgers and spraggonales in order to pin him down. A good landmark is the Walking Rock Pebble, who can also be found in this area.

One other note, he conned yellow to me as a level 28 Nightshade, don't know if he cons differently to separate classes or not. He brought in XP equivalent to a high-level yellow, however, arond 760k.

I found a blue Lugradan outside Dun Ailinne and i got the golden chain from him, i got the water badger and the silvermine badger with not much problems, after that i went to Nock's house and went south and killed all silvermine badgers green and blue and at the end on the way into the valley the Scar Nose spawned but he was orange to me at level 28 so wait until level 29 or 30 before taking to be sure you wont die :)

Lugradan is in Lough Gur near 22k, 22k.

But I can't find Scarnose anywhere. Killed every badger in Silvermine at least twice, relogged half a dozen times, still not there. Tried loc 48k, 20k in Silvermine as recommended. Anyone any other suggestions?

She told me to get the gold chain from a luch catcher in Lough Derg, those can me found left of path wen Innis is on right ( little ways aways ) Then when I returned the necklace she said to get the claws and this part was very easy. Happy hunting a good luck

They can be found in Lough Gur, mostly in the forest between Caille and Treibh Caillte (Bärenhöhle).

It's near the woords where you find many waylayers, in the region near Treibh Caille. Walk from Innis across the water towrd Treibh Caille, and as soon as you find the road, walk a little to the right, and search the woods..

Lugradan cons yellow for lvl 30 I think

There are two in Lough Gur, loc approx 19000,19000. On the day I killed one, they conned yellow to my 30 druid; I have seen them con yellow at 29.

Nearby nasties: grey spectres to the north-northwest (lvl 28/29), gurite assailers to the east (27-29), luch catchers and ire wolves at about the same place (28-30, maybe 31)
RE: Lugradan???
# Jun 16 2002 at 9:15 AM Rating: Default
OK, a couple more things. Easiest way to get to them is to catch the horse to Culraid, jump off just before you get to the forest after the big open space on the Estuary/Gur border (clear, no?).

Second, lugradans are tiny, and this area has a lot of undergrowth. Sit still, hit <f8> often, and look for movement.
