The Apple's Kiss

Quest given by TNN trainer when you reach lvl 10

1. go talk to Torrance in Ardee.

2 he sends you to talk to the strange druid Aibhaill Treesworn (antlers, epic armor) who is off in the redwoods to the W of the road to DL at about 45.2, 38.3
(Note: Blademaster had to find Saille, he was located in the cluricaun camp south of the tomb, loc. 34819 45341 Connacht.)

3 he gives you an apple wand , Uibhaill P'og, and sends you of to dispatch Huathe, a newly-active irewood who is hiding SW of the north TNN gate. (Apples are apparently the only uncorrupted tree species after the evil druids had their way back when.)

4 go to the east TNN gate, loc=4734,15462 at 1700 hours, and head for the 3 birch trees in the distance. running through the little grove there eventually spawns Huathe. I ran up and down the entire zone east of the road for a long time before he popped, so maybe there's a time issue; in my case at 9:00 am. he spawned at about 17.5, 59.8, which is a little east of the birches; aggro but didn't jump me. blue to a 10, took him down easily (mana ment) (note from a druid: Aibhaill sent me to find a corrupted tree called Duir. I found him by a dead tree in the center of a grove of healthy trees near 54000, 15551 in Lough Derg.) (also seen at loc=18100, 59870 Connacht, also seen at loc=4807, 15465 Connacht at night game time)

5 recover his corrupted heartwood and bring it back to Torrance

rewards:

33,792 exp + 1,280 for Huathe
a little silver

Rewards:
Adept Belt -- Mentalist
Student Belt -- Druid
Stylist Belt -- Blademaster

Rewards:
  Adept's Belt
  Student Belt

The above comments made my mentalist epic VERY difficult. It had me running all over Connacht getting more and more frustrated about not being able to properly locate Huathe. Ontop of that - comments on the time of day playing a role only added to the total confusion.
SO! Let's get rid of all the "i thinks" and "i heards" so that any future questers know EXACTLY where to go, so that they may avoid waisting hours on a lvl10 step.

After getting the Uibhaill P'og wand from Aibhaill, this is where you'd wanna go.
OBS! Using /faceloc macro's can be extremely handy (/macro <name> /faceloc 10000 20000)
Remember to write write the full locs unless you want you nose to point the wrong way :)

Duir, loc 54000, 15551
When you exit the TTN south gate, turn right and head SW.
Duir is located in the second little grove of trees in the top left corner of the Lough Durg map.

Huathe, loc 18230, 59850
When you exit the TNN north gate turn left and follow the zone-wall until you hit the given loc.
Stand close to one of the rough barked trees to make Huathe pop.

Saille, loc 34950, 45540

Took me forever to find Duir as a Druid part of this epic. He's SW of the TN East Gate and spawned for me at loc 4807, 15465. I must have pasted this spot many times so guessing it's time specific (mine spawned at nite) or you have to be really close to the spot to get him to spawn.
Saille

Heya..finally found Saille after running round for 2 days SW of TNN gates :( It was infact about NE of TNN North gates at loc 35281, 45000. Remembered how to use /faceloc and did it that way. Thanks Airvee, this silly task was driving me mad. At lvl 11 mob was green and an easy kill.
Saille Location

I found Saille at 35281 45000 5512. I'm a BM and had the location listed as "SW of the Muire Tomb" in my journal.

Got a pop up window saying the branch was glowing. Mob was blue at level 10 and an easy fight.

Reward is:

Stylist Belt

Magical bonuses:
- Celtic Dual: 2 pts
- Strength: 6 pts

Cannot be sold to merchants

East Gate Loc

This mob is outside TNN's east gate, not north. I found it at 4734,15462 at 1700 hours.

Maybe it is different for different people, myjournal said go to sw of EAST gate.

Boy, do I have better things to do other then wait for a gray mob to pop. Killed a couple mobs to see if it caused a pop, but it doesn't.

Killing the grays was fun though. When else can a druid do 400 damage melee?

Glow, branch, glow.
