Quest Dialog:
Speak with Master Frederick, at the tower east-northeast of Cotswold, loc=19161,26540,2862 dir=77 Camelot Hills.

Master Frederick says, "Greetings to you my young friend. I am Master Frederick. I'm here to help you find your way around this vast realm. In the process, you'll have the ability to earn weapons, armor, coin and some levels. Would you like to start [training] now?"

Master Frederick says, "(Your Name), where is your journal? I do not see it anywhere on you, nor can I smell it either. Well, it seems you have [lost] it!"

Master Frederick says, "I thought you would. What I am here to do is to guide you through your first few seasons, until I feel you're confident and skilled enough to make it on your own in Albion. If you aren't properly trained, then what good are you to the realm? None, of course. Now, I will start your training off by asking you a simple question, whether or not you wish to [proceed] with your training. A dialogue box will pop up. Either press the Accept or Decline button."

Are you ready to begin your training? [Level 1]
You have been given the Cotswold Delivery quest.

[Step #1] Listen to Master Frederick describe your training. If he stops speaking with you, ask him about your [character sheet].

Master Frederick says, "Congratulations! You are now one step closer to understanding the world of Camelot! During this phase of your training, I will be sending you into Cotswold to learn more about defending the realm. You will need to check your Quest JOURNAL from time to time to see what you need to accomplish next on your quest. You can access the quest journal from the COMMAND button on your [character sheet]."

Master Frederick says, "Your character sheet houses all of your character's information, such as attributes, weapon skill, base class and profession. If at any time you want to see your character's statistics, press the far left icon on the menu bar (it looks like a person with a circle around them) for more [information]."

Master Frederick says, "I know this all seems a little overwhelming, but I have a special item here that will make this transition a smooth one. Please, take this [journal]."

[Step #2] Listen to Master Frederick as he explains your journal. If he stops speaking with you, ask him how he can [expedite] your journeys.

Master Frederick says, "This journal will help you from time to time while you are doing various tasks for me. I like to call it a smart journal. It was made by one of the sorcerers at the Academy for new recruits like you. It will help to [expedite] your training."

You receive the New Recruit Journal from Master Frederick!

You have just been given a New Recruit Journal. This item has automatically been placed into your pack. All quest items will automatically be placed in your pack provided there is space for them.

Master Frederick says, "Now that I've given you a small introduction to the world of Albion, let's get started with your first task. I need for you to deliver this package of supplies to [Cemmeth Budgwold] near Camelot."

Master Frederick says, "All you need to do is take these supplies to Cemmeth Budgwold by the bridge. Hand him the supplies and he will guide you from there. Be swift my young recruit. Time is of the essence."

You receive the Sack of Supplies from Master Frederick!

[Step #3] Find Cemmeth Budgwold near the Camelot Bridge. Make your way west-southwest towards Camelot. Hand him the supplies from Master Frederick.
( Cemmeth Budgwold is at loc=9560,28252,2280 dir=296 Camelot Hills, Cotswold.)

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "Did Master Frederick send you? If so can you hand me the Sack of Supplies from your inventory?"

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "Greetings, (Your Name). Thank you for the supplies. I need you to take them to [Farma Hornly], here in Cotswold. She is a merchant who also helps with making armor for the guards from time to time."

You receive the Sack of Supplies from Cemmeth Budgwold!

[Step #4] Talk to Cemmeth Budgwold near the bridge to Camelot in Cotswold.

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "Master Frederick wanted me to pass on one important bit of information before I send you to the merchants. Cities and towns can be confusing places and sometimes you will need some help to locate certain NPCs in these areas. When you find yourself lost in these situations you can ask the [aid of a guard]."

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "Simply target one of the guards, me in this case, and use the /where command to get help in finding someone. Since you are looking for Farma Hornly, you would hit Enter then type /where Farma Hornly and then hit Enter again. Be sure to use the [NPCs full name] and do not have any spaces after the name. "

Type /where Farma Hornly while you have a guard targeted to get directions to her location.

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "Farma Hornly can be found up in that direction."

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "Sometimes when giving directions, you might miss where a guard pointed. You can just ask again and we will be happy to point towards your destination. Let me tell you a little trick which will save you some typing. You can hold down SHIFT and then tap the UP ARROW, which is pointing to the End key on most keyboards. This will scroll back through the different commands you have typed recently. You can use SHIFT and DOWN ARROW to [scroll forward]."

Cemmeth Budgwold says, "I hope my directions were helpful. You should head to Farma Hornly now to give her the supplies from Master Frederick. Remember to check your JOURNAL if you get lost."

[Step #5] Find Farma Hornly inside the building that Cemmeth Budgwold pointed towards. It is southeast of the bridge.
( Farma Hornly is at loc=10870,30358,2619 dir=266 Camelot Hills, Cotswold.)

Farma Hornly says, "Welcome, Acolyte. I see that you have a sack of supplies from Master Frederick. May I have those supplies now?"

Farma Hornly says, "I am glad for the supplies. We are just about out of material. You may have noticed that I am a merchant. Right click on me to open my merchant window. I sell various types of cloth armor. If you right click on one of my sale items, you will see that each one has an [Armor Factor] value, a Weight and an Absorb percentage."

[Step #6] Ask Farma about [Armor Factor]. You can do this by targeting her and typing the word in brackets above.

Farma Hornly says, "Armor Factor, or AF, determines how much protection is provided by a piece of armor. Cloth has an AF of 1 per level of the item. In this case the woolen quilted vest is a level 2 object while the brocade quilted vest is a level 10 object. Other armor such as [chain or leather] has an AF of 2 per level."

Farma Hornly says, "Cloth armor can be used by all classes but is mainly used by spell casters. This armor has an absorb value of 0%. Paladins and Armsmen may use armor such as Plate, which has an AF of 2 per level and an absorb value of 34%. Most spell casters make up for this disadvantage by being able to inflict damage from a distance which helps avoid direct combat. I will now direct you to Lundeg Tranyth over there for more about armor."

Farma Hornly gestures to the south towards Lundeg Tranyth.

Farma Hornly says, "Fine, thank you (Your Name), you may be on your way now."

[Step #7] Find Lundeg Tranyth in the shop near Farma Hornly, southeast of the bridge to Camelot.
( Lundeg Tranyth is at loc=10860,30592,2619 dir=246 Camelot Hills, Cotswold.)

Lundeg Tranyth says, "I see that Farma was giving you some lessons about protective gear. I sell several types of leather. If you left click on the arrows next to the word Page in my store window you can scroll through the various items I offer. You will notice that my selection includes different leather types like rawhide, tanned or cured. I also offer different styles of armor such as [roman, cymric, or siluric] gloves."

Lundeg Tranyth says, "Remember that gear such as leather, studded or plate armor has an AF that increases by 2 per level. If you scroll back to page 1, you will see that the cured roman leather boots have an AF of 20. This means that they are boots for players [around level 10]. "

Lundeg Tranyth says, "All leather gear has an Absorb of 10%. This means that for every 10 points of damage you would receive, 1 point is absorbed by the armor. If a monster hits you for what should be 100 points of damage, your [leather would absorb] 10 points so you would take 90 points of damage instead."

Lundeg Tranyth says, "Thank you for delivering those supplies to our store. I hope that we were able to give you a better understanding of our role as merchants and how armor works. I will now [reward] you for completing your delivery."

Lundeg Tranyth says, "Look at your combat window. This is the top half of your chat window on the bottom left corner of your screen. You should see in this window that you have been given experience, some coin and an item as rewards for [finishing] this quest."
