Quest Dialog: submitted by Betha:
You have been given the Unraveling of the Uruz quest.

Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "We must contact the High Consul immediately. Unfortunately he is still with his people in their new home in [Myrkwood Forest]."
Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "Since their return to these realms, the Deifrang have begun digging a small system of caves there to form a new miniature Labyrinth. The High Consul lives in a portion of these caves that even other Deifrang are [not allowed to enter]."
Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "His personal guards let no one through that the High Consul has not already specifically approved, even a representative of King Eirik. But perhaps there is a way, if you're willing to help us further."

You have been given the Unraveling: Illusions of Grandeur quest.

Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "Visit Snura at Galplen in Myrkwood Forest Forest. She is a Warlock who has focused her entire life on the study of magical [illusions]."

Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "Snura should be able to help you look like one of the High Consul's own guards in order to sneak in and speak to him. Just tell her I sent you. Do this as quickly as possible. The fate of this alliance depends on it."

Snura says, "The Athr Hasetti sent you? Why?"
You say, "illusion"
Snura says, "Well I suppose I could create the illusion you require, but I don't have all of the components I would need on hand. Let's see... I'd [need] a stonerot worm's tooth for that grizzled guard look, an envy drake egg shell for color, and the rabid black bear's ears for body."
Snura says, "Stonerot worms actually burrow into large stones in bodies of water to wait inside and ambush large prey that swims by. They're usually not around at this time of the year, but you can check the stones in the water just south of us around the ruins of the old bridge. Swim around the bottom near the stones. If there's a stonerot worm in one, don't worry, you'll see [him]."
Snura says, "You can find an envy drake nest along the road to the southeast. Search the nest for the largest shell remaining intact. Watch out for the mother though. She doesn't much like it when people go [rummaging] through her nest. I'll give you a collection sack to use to gather the egg shell so that you don't damage it."
Snura says, "The rabid black bear has been ambushing travelers on the road to the northeast, typically around the bend turning west. He was last seen hiding off of the road to the right near a tree stump. I'll give you a rotten fish to help lure him out of hiding."

You receive the Collection Sack from Snura!
You receive the Rotten Fish from Snura!
You receive the Stonerot Worm's Tooth from the Stonerot Worm!

/using the collecting bag summons an Envy Drake Matriarch
You receive Envy Drake Egg Shell from the Envy Drake Matriarch!

You use the Rotten Fish.
You drop the Rotten Fish on the ground in an attempt to lure the rabid bear out of hiding.
You receive the Rabid Bear Ear from the Rabid Bear!

Snura says, "You returned fast. Maybe you didn't get the items I said I needed? If you did then let's see them. Hand me the Stonerot Worm's Tooth first."
Snura says, "This is a front tooth and I wanted a back tooth. You'd better be glad I have a spell that can fix that. Now, hand me the egg shell."
Snura says, "Hey, there's dirt on this shell! Do you want this to work or not? Well, don't just stand there, hand me the ears."
Snura says, "And this ear is tattered! Hmmph, someone was in a rush."
Snura says, "I could have [finished] that in half that time if you hadn't cracked the shell."
Snura says, "There you go. When used in the High Consul's Sanctum the magic in this gem will create perfect illusionary replicas of the High Guardians' armor that will even change your form to resemble the High Guardians. Be sure to wear both the [vest and the leggings] for the illusion to be complete."

You receive the Purple Gem from Snura!

Snura says, "Oh and don't go thinking it'll work outside the High Consul's cave. The illusion relies on actual High Guardians being nearby to function properly. Now, leave me be. I have research to do."

As you enter the High Consul's chamber, magic begins to pulse from the earthen fetish on the altar. Your illusionary armor fades away.

High Consul Thamor says, "Betha, what are you doing in here? Oh, I see. I had hoped we could avoid discussing this until your people had gained a little more [trust] in us."
High Consul Thamor says, "I did know about the demons in the Labyrinth, but you must believe that I did not mean to deceive you. The demons' involvement with my people is an embarrassment that still [shames] us to this day."
High Consul Thamor says, "The gods that asked us to build our relics were not our gods at all. They were demons in disguise, seeking to corrupt and weaken the Uruz so we would be easy to conquer. Their plan worked nearly flawlessly, as the other clans fell quickly to their greed. When the demons finally attacked, we were already engrossed in civil war. We were forced to flee for our lives, seeking refuge in [faraway lands]."
High Consul Thamor says, "These scrolls are for Athr Hasetti, though you may read them if you wish. The scrolls explain our full history. I would have returned with them to Jordheim sooner, but I have been delayed dealing with far greater concerns. Take the scrolls to the Deifrang Hunter stationed nearby in Myrkwood Forest so that he can deliver them to Jordheim. Then return to me. Don't worry about my guards. You are welcome in my home now."

You receive the History of the Uruz from High Consul Thamor!

You use the History of the Uruz.
You receive the Creation of the Nexus from the History of the Uruz!
You receive the Arrival of the Gods from the History of the Uruz!
You receive the Corruption of the Uruz from the History of the Uruz!
You receive the Escape from the History of the Uruz!

You carefully remove the four scrolls from their bundle. They should make for interesting reading.

You use the Creation of the Nexus.
Many centuries ago, the dominion of the Uruz stretched far and wide across the realms. As individual clan leaders sought greater territory, the distance to their nearest neighbors grew more and more vast. The priests of Vartigeth, God of Unity, Wisdom, and Survival, became increasingly concerned until they finally begged the High Council for a solution.
The High Council called for the creation of a magical nexus to link the scattered Uruz clans together. Constructed by the Stormbinders of Nurizane, God of Storm and Air, the nexus brought unity to the Uruz like we had never known. Obelisks were constructed in every city and town. Communities were reconnected, trade increased, and the Uruz became more prosperous than ever.
What was only discovered later was that the nexus caused a breach into the demonic plane, attracting unfathomable evil to our world. The Uruz suddenly came to the attention of a powerful demon lord. Knowing he hadn't the strength to take the Minotaur people by force, he stayed the hands of his lesser brethren and sought first to infiltrate and corrupt our culture at its heart.

(The story continues in the next scroll, Arrival of the Gods.)

You use the Arrival of the Gods.
The demons came to us as our gods, the demon lord himself presenting himself as Laresh, Ruler of the Gods. They appeared to our priests in physical form, demanding their obedience. Those who denied their divinity were quietly murdered or at the very least discredited and outcast.
Thinking ourselves blessed, we obeyed their every command. They brought us holy stone with which to build relics of power in their name. As it turns out, the stone was actually demon stone, ore mined from the depths of the demons' demesne. This gave the relics limitless power, but at the cost of the souls who coveted them.

(The story continues in the next scroll, Corruption of the Uruz.)

You use the Corruption of the Uruz.
Once constructed, the relics were placed in shrines throughout the Uruz capital, the mighty Labyrinth. There they began influencing the core of Uruz society. Honorable and reputable men became greedy and corrupt. Mistrust grew as leaders started accusing each other of plotting to steal relics for themselves. Fights broke out over who would guard the relic shrines. Obsession mounted as cults began forming around relics themselves, rather than the gods they represented.
Many Uruz began showing physical signs of their corruption. They became haggard and emaciated as they refused to leave the relic shrines to eat. They grew third horns from their foreheads, their skin began to rot, and their eyes took on red hues. The gods claimed these were signs of their favor.
Violence began spilling out from the relic shrines into surrounding hallways, marketplaces, homes, and temples. Long-standing ties between clans were severed as everyone blamed each other's greed instead of looking to themselves. This finally erupted into a full blown civil war.

(The story continues in the next scroll, Escape.)

You use the Escape.
When the bloodshed and chaos was at its peak, the demons attacked. They struck hard and fast throughout the entirety of our lands. Taken completely by surprise, thousands were slaughtered. With many of their brethren killed and the High Council in shambles, most of the corrupted Uruz took the opportunity to cut off all ties with their former clans and form a new clan, the Thelo. They fought demon and Uruz alike, no longer caring for anything but the relics that owned their souls.
The rest of us were easily driven into the center of the Labyrinth where we made our final stand. There, those that remained formed a temporary truce to determine how we might still survive.
The High Chief Maghras and his three sons, Korazh, Graoch, and Deifrang, each leading one of the remaining clans, all agreed that the battle could no longer be won. In order for the Uruz to survive, they would have to use the nexus to escape to distant lands, sealing the Labyrinth behind them to ensure that the demons and those corrupted by them could not follow. What was not agreed on was that the relics should also be left behind. While Maghras and Deifrang believed the relics impossibly tainted by the demon stone used to create them, Korazh and Graoch still believed them useful.
The argument only ended when it was realized that someone would need to stay behind to place the wards that the priests of Vartigeth had made to contain the demons within the Labyrinth. Maghras agreed to stay behind with his personal guard, but only if his sons promised not to take the relics to their new homes. Not wanting to be the ones left behind, Korazh and Graoch finally accepted these terms, though Deifrang was wise to ask that the wards be designed to call all three clans to their former homes should they somehow be broken.
At last, Nurizane's Stormbinders were called once again to open a final set of portals to three distant lands, through which the remaining clans escaped. Maghras and his guard are assumed to have succeeded in placing the wards throughout the Labyrinth, though their fate thereafter is unknown.

Deifrang Hunter is located at 56162, 48888 Myrkwood Forest.
You examine the Deifrang Hunter. He is friendly and is a realm guard.
The Deifrang Hunter says, "Do you have business with me?"
The Deifrang Hunter says, "I will deliver these to Athr Hasetti immediately."

High Consul Thamor says, "The scrolls for the Athr also contained a note explaining what I shall now [explain] to you now. You will understand this much better if you already [read the scrolls] yourself."
High Consul Thamor says, "Further examination of the map you gave me indicates that it wasn't written by the Korazh or the Graoch. It appears to have been written by the Thelo, the corrupt Uruz still living within the Labyrinth. We believe they may be trying to form some sort of alliance with the other clans in order to finally drive out the demons once and for all, likely in exchange for some of the [relics]."
High Consul Thamor says, "The consequences of allowing such an alliance would be extremely grim for the entire realm. If this is true, we must stop it immediately. I want you to travel at once to Agramon and meet with Guntury, our best scout. He's been making exploratory expeditions into the Labyrinth for us and may have information about this [possibility]."
High Consul Thamor says, "Take this signaling whistle. Use it at the tree just east of the closest entrance to the Labyrinth on Agramon, Guntury's rendezvous point. This will let him know that the area is clear and he is safe to reveal himself."

You receive the Signaling Whistle from High Consul Thamor!

Information continued by Thaals Mythic:

You use the Signaling Whistle.
(Guntury arrives)

Guntury says, "I was starting to think you weren't coming. Now stay low, keep quiet, and I'll tell you what I know."

You have been given the Unraveling of the Uruz Quest.
You have earned 8000 champion experience.

Guntury says, "I never would have imagined that the Korazh and Garoch would be so low as to join with the Thelo, but there are definitely negotiations taking place. Sure, they still fight each other, for now, but it's [slowing down]."

Guntury says, "In my stealthy explorations of the Labyrinth, I've seen countless quiet meetings between individual Uruz and their corrupt counterparts. Often it's a simple exchange of a note or a single word before they part, but it never ends in violence. This has to stop now. I'm no fighter and they often meet in very dangerous areas where i can't risk revealing myself, but I think you'll have better chances."

Will you stop the negotiations between the Thelo and the other clans? [Level 50] - Accept - You have been given the Unraveling: Crush the Alliance quest.

In Hibernia, you must go to Cireya in Howth for your illusion potion. She is in the brown hut in the center of town, a little lurikeen wearing brown. She first sends you to get three things. You can take a boat and jump off at fishing bear island. The first item is underwater East of the island. Locate the largest outcrop of crystal at 27815 25557 Silvermine, and a Crystalrot River Beetle will pop (all mobs were yellow con at 50). It drops a Crystalrot Beetle tooth.

Next go up on the island and /use the rotten fish that Cireya gave you, near the one rock on the island, loc 36689 27573 Silvermine. A Rabid Bear will pop. Get it's ear.

Finally, go back to Howth and run west to loc 6153 41755. A Feral Feccan Hunter will be there. Get his nose, and bring all back to Cireya. She will grumble and groan about the quality of the items, but in the end she does give you a Purple Gem.

The High Consul's Sanctum entrance is at 9836 34212 Silvermine.

The Graoch ranger is in the valley a bit southwest of Ardagh at loc 17464 9764 Silvermine, standing by a campfire.
