DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different [Step #1] When you are ready to resume your mission for the King, return to Athr Hasetti Theyr in the Throne Room. Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "The King is going to be furious when he learns how widespread the demon threat is becoming. Needless to say, we have made all of our resources available to you in the [fight] against this foe." Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "We believe that victory over the demonic powers at work in the realm can only be possible with the [rescue] of Keeper Iraeda." Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "Will you [lead] the expedition to recover Iraeda?" You have been given the Conspiracy: Forging the Key quest. Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "The King knew he could rely upon you. Vigdis Gythja of Hel has formulated a plan to rescue Iraeda from Rugak's stronghold in Darkness Falls. Vigdis will brief you on the details, so speak with her as soon as you can." Athr Hasetti nods. [Step #2] Seek out Vigdis Gythja of Hel inside Jordheim and speak with her about constructing a tool to aid in the rescue of Keeper Iraeda. Vigdis Gythja of Hel is located right outside the throne room. Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "Let us get started. We have much to accomplish before we can send you into the depths of the demon stronghold. The sages concluded that Rugak is holding Iraeda within a sealed portion of Darkness Falls, so it will be difficult to pierce the [wards]." Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "I know a technique we can use to construct a kind of key, but it requires a very rare material. An ore called Nethril holds the power to get you into the demon stronghold, but it is dangerous and must be handled with [caution]." Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "There are only a few places in Midgard where it can be found, and it is jealously guarded by its owners. I prepared a list of places where you should be able to find it. To get the quantity of metal we require, we should gather three chunks of [ore]." Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "Here is the list I promised. Read and review it; use your judgment to determine the best place to gather the ore. Return to me as soon as you have obtained the last piece. Time is of the essence, Glenlock, and we've much difficult work ahead of us." Vigdis Gythja of Hel hands you the list. [Step #3] Read Vigdis Gythja of Hel's List to learn where to hunt for Nethril ore. Select one of the locations listed and begin your hunt for the ore. (To read the list right click on the list and type /use.) You use Vigdis' List. If you prefer to adventure alone, seek out the werewolf guards in Skona Ravine. They say that they gather and hoard Nethril ore from the ruins in the area. I cannot imagine that most of them will carry it, but a few certainly do. With the aid of a few allies, you should venture into Spindelhalla, home to the cave trows. They are known to mine the ore. You will probably find a greater quantity there than you would on the werewolves. If your party numbers six or more, venture into Malmohus. The Drakulvs in the northern region of the area, to the west of the entrance, are said to hoard fragments of the ore. Digging inside their camp is bound to produce the best yield of ore. I went with the werewolf guards in Skona Ravine. There a decent spawn of 4 or so at (loc=21k, 33k) [Step #6] Return to Vigdis Gythja of Hel inside Jordheim with the three chunks of Nethril ore that you gathered. You will need to unstack the ore before handing it to Vigdis. Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "I see you've heeded my advice and returned quickly, Glenlock. That bodes well for our chances of success in this mission. Do you have the ore with you?" Vigdis Gythja of Hel doesn't want stacked items. Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "Thank you. May I have the second chunk of ore?" Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "It looks like you managed to find some rather pure ore. Please hand me the third piece." Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "Well done, this should yield plenty of metal for the construction of the amulet. I need to get to work right away, Glenlock. The sooner this amulet is completed, the sooner you'll be able to lead the rescue [attempt]." Vigdis Gythja of Hel says, "I must meet the others at the forge to begin our work. Please take word to Athr Hasetti Theyr that we have begun the construction of the key." [Step #9] Return to Athr Hasetti Theyr and let him know that Vigdis Gythja of Hel has begun constructing the amulet. You inform Theyr that you have procured the materials required by Vigdis Gythja of Hel and that they have begun working on the amulet that will allow access to the demon fortress in Darkness Falls. Athr Hasetti says, ''Gather your [closest allies] to you and return to me once Iraeda has finished her work.'' Athr Hasetti Theyr says, "For now, though, please accept this purse with His Majesty's thanks for your continued efforts on behalf of the realm." You have been given the Darkness Rising Chapter 2: Conspiracy quest. You have earned 819 champion experience! You are awarded 1,638,000,000 experience! You are awarded 5 gold and some silver! |
