DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Madilen Anglesey, who is located in the first builing as you enter the town from the East in Wearyall Village. She will send you to speak with Karayan.

Mention to Karayan that Madilen sent you and you will be given a potion for your next task.

Go to Afal Dyffryn, which is north of Wearyall, loc of 10k, 17k. Locate and kill Nalsor, FYI he is baf.

Upon Nalsor's death, Tomos spawns and you need to give him the potion that you received in the previous step.

He wants to know what to do with the potion you gave him, tell him to pour it over the seeds. After he does this, he will return to you four sets of seeds which you need for the next step.

Each seed set belongs to a particular spirit and you need to locate and return the seeds to the correct orchard.

When you happen upon the correct orchard, the seeds will begin to glow with a ghostly green light for so and so spirit. When this happens, drop the seeds on the ground and continue to the next until you have done all four sets. Undead Apple Harvesters are in this area and will attack, so be ready.

After the seed task is fulfilled, you receive Tomos' Pouch of Apple Seeds.
Must give the bag of apples back to Karayan, he will then send you back
to Madilen for reward and more xp.

The reward I got from this quest was automatically chosen for my Level 36 Reaver. I also got about 99 million XP for the completion of the quest.

I completed it on my own as a level 44 Paladin on
UK Excalibur v1.57 with no problems. Most creatures con green or blue,
many add but are no problem. Also grays were aggressive!

For a reward I got:
207,540,645 experience (0.2 bubs)
2 gold + some silver
Arwrweision Arms (plate)

The locations I dropped the 4 seeds at were:
Brent's - 9439, 12173
Lenor's - 13621, 8731
Andryw's - 18587, 13295
Tomo's - 13662, 17889

Rewards are class related:
  • Eneidiau -- Friar

I did it soloing as paladin 36 on gaheris thx for the directions here posted. The pally has the time to drop in the orchards and then run away with 3 or more mobs aggro on him, but perhaps for others classes is difficult.I think mezzers and tanks can do it in solo but no sure.
    Finding Tomos
    # May 17 2004 at 6:02 PM Rating: Decent
I wasted a LOT of time, trying to find WHERE Tomos spawns. Trouble was, I beat Nalsor and his cronies, but he BAF’d so bad I had to run. Then I looked all around the village for Tomos. Turns out, Tomos (and Andryw, and Lensor) spawn right where you kill Nalsor, and it was immediate. In my case, it was in the yard, in front of the building(southwest side) where Nalsor hangs out a lot (East side of road thru town).

The next problem, is exactly what to say, to Tomos. I had to get help on this. You /say over the seeds.

When you get the seeds, my experience was that the seeds don’t acknowledge you’re in the right orchard, until you kill one or more of the Undead Apple Harvestors. I also have a hunch that you might have to do the orchards in a particular order. I did Brent’s, Lensor’s, Andryw, and Tomos’, in that order.

The walkthru at the top of this forum, says to take the apples back to Karayan. But, it’s apple SEEDS that you have, and you take them to Madilen Anglesey, in the first building on the right, when entering Wearyall.
    How to finish this quest!

Here is the trick to not getting killed after you get the seeds from Tomos:

Run through the orchard, the mobs will baf. You'll take a few hits, but don't sprint (yet). Get to the center and as you are running, drop the seeds for the particular orchard. Then hit your jets and sprint. Run far enough to loose the aggro and sit, rest, heal, med...if you are a pet class, use 'em to get some of that aggro for you...

I did this quest at lvl 36 on a sorcerer and it worked like a champ.

    Where is Tomos?
    # Sep 30 2003 at 9:15 PM Rating: Excellent
I killed Nalsor about 10+ times tonight, and still Tomos did not spawn, 2 of us got the quest on the Euro PvP server (LvL 39 Skald and 37 Friar), but CANT find or get Tomos to pop.
Killing them was not a problem, I mezzed the boss and we took the 2 blues out very quickly, the Boss was also very easy, we pulled from inside the building, but more than once he spawned instantly, so we had to kill them again.
Anybody know why he isnt spawning? is it a bug?

Matter cabalist 37, did that quest alone. You can get Nalsor and two of his buddies when they patrol behind the ruin (from the road from Ft. Gwyntell, you can get there easilly without aggroing anything). Nalsor yellow to me, the two other drakos blue. Did several attemps and died a couple times, until I got the strategy right. Main problem is that one of the drakorans is a healer, and Nalsor procs a lifetap. Best way I found is to root the two drakorans, run away with pet on passive and Nalsor following, make the pet attack Nalsor, quick focus shield on pet, nearsight, dot, dot, lifetap until Nalsor went after me again, at this point he was nearsighted and couldn't proc lifetap on me, and was away from his healing buddy. Run a bit with dots ticking, then /face, dots/lifetaps, and he's dead.

Orchards are easier, have a sapphire simi handle the skeletons that will rush toward you, go to center, drop seed, and voila. Do it methodically, and it shouldn't be a problem.

Oh yes, also, Nalsor procs some str debuff, so you don't want to carry too much stuff with you. Killed me the first time, as I was perma rooted.

The first orchard to visit is Brent's, which is found on the west of the road and on the north border of Afal Dyffynn; the next is Lensor's, across the road to the east. Then Andryw's, which is south of Lensor's. Cross the road from there (west) and you will find the final orchard, Tomos'. A message will appear as you get to the center.

Did this today with two people in the group. We were both 39. One of us would run into the center and drop the seeds then run back out and we would kill the agroes. Most of the time it was 3 of them and they were usually blue and green. Sometimes a yellow but not often. Once we only had two attack. When we both entered the grove we agroed 5 or 6. Was a lot easier to do it this way. Only one person enter at a time then kill the agroes.
Spirit of the Orchard - Aggro
    # Mar 06 2003 at 4:01 AM Rating: Decent
I'm the 44 Pally that supplied half of the info at the top of the page. I took someone back to do this quest last night, a 44 Merc and we got beat up badly. BE CAREFUL when you pull Nalsor (he's usually inside one of the buildings) he seems to have a very large BAF area, maybe even 150 metres. We had about 20 blues on us. Pull him out of the building, kill him (and him only) and then run until the aggro dies off. Go back and continue the quest...

This is a quest where you want a group of your buddies with you, especially if one is a healer.

Nalsor brings a friend. And that friend brings a friend and so on, and so on, and so on... Although they are blue friends, expect 8 to 10 of them.

I had to kill Nalsor twice, as the quest did not advance the first time.

After that speak to the spirits of the orchard and they give you their seeds. You must take each bag of seeds and drop in a different orchard. Each orchard has green to yellow (at 40) mobs in it, usually linked in 3s. It is not unusual to get more than one group attacking you. When you near the center of the orchard, you will recieve a message that your seeds are glowing. At that point, drop your bag of seeds for that particular spirit, and move to next orchard.

Our group of 31 necro, 36 necro, 40 minstrel and 42 cleric had a lot of fun attacking those big groups.

The reward gloves (minstrel) were yellow to me at 40. Hard, fun and rewarding!
