DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Brief Walkthrough: 1) Talk to Kenzai at loc=50886,20672 Veil Rift 2) Go to loc=31264,24826 Veil Rift, when Kenzai's Ring alerts you to burried arrows /Search twice for Dark Elf Arrows. 3) Return to Kenzai and hand him the 2 Dark Elf Arrows and his Ring to him for your reward. lvl 7 received 1,100 experience and 4 silver. Dialog from quest: Talk to Kenzai at loc=50886,20672,11289 dir=182 Veil Rift Kenzai says, "Oh good, a nice, brave Hero has come to speak with me and at just [the perfect] time!" Kenzai says, "I am Kenzai, an experimenter and researcher of sorts. For a while I had fallen out of favor with the Queen because of an experiment gone poorly. But while the Queen is quick to anger, for those she likes she is quick to forgive. And she thankfully [forgave me] recently." Kenzai says, "When she sent word that I was no longer in trouble, I was overjoyed. I was eager to return to the beauty of the Labyrinth but alas, that fate was not meant for me. The Queen had [other plans] for me." Kenzai says, "When she heard that I had been assisting Synnelae with her experiments with the dark elves, she was pleased. She wanted me to keep doing my experiments here in the Veil. She sent [special instructions] for me with her messenger. When I heard them, it made me wish that I was still out of favor." Kenzai says, "The Queen fails to understand that my experiments are of the greatest difficulty for they deal with the most complex magic out there. So rather than asking me to develop a powerful spell to destroy the creature that leads the enemy against us, she asks me to [make arrows]!" Kenzai says, "Do I look like a fletcher to you? No, I am a researcher! But yet she expects me to make arrows and to make them better than our enemies. I was tempted to flee to the lands of Hibernia when I heard that request, but the thought of never seeing the Labyrinth again stopped my flight. So now I must become [a fletcher] and make arrows!" Kenzai says, "I have been studying the arrows that rangers typically use and they are good. But I do not know at this point how they compare with the arrows of the enemy. I believe that if I can study the arrows of the enemy, I can find a way to magically make arrows better than ours. But as I have said many times, I am a researcher. I am not trained in the [ways of combat]." Kenzai says, "But perhaps we can strike a deal, Hero, for I can see that you have been trained in the ways of combat. If you go and get me some arrows, I will pay you for them. Think it over for a minute and then let me know if we [have a deal]." Will you help Kenzai and obtain the arrows he needs? [Levels 7-10] You have been given the Magic Arrows quest. [Step #1] Speak with Kenzai to learn more about your task. Kenzai says, "That is good news to my ears, Hero. And now I have some good news for yours. If you are careful, you will not even have to use those combat skills of yours, Hero. The dark elf archers that carry these arrows often practice with their bows and arrows. If you search around on the ground near [the dark elves], you might be able to find some. How does that sound to you? " Kenzai says, "Go seek out the dark elf archers. You can find them west of here, across the third bridge. Sometimes their arrows are hard to spot on the ground, so take this little ring of mine. It will let you know when you're near some of their arrows. Just search around until you find two arrows and bring them back to me." You receive Kenzai's Ring from Kenzai! [Step #1] Find the dark elf archers to the west, over the bridge. Kenzai's Ring will alert you to arrows hidden on the ground. /Search for the arrows then. [Step #2] /Search the area indicated by Kenzai's Ring for another dark elf arrow. [Step #3] Return to Kenzai near the Tir na Nog entrance to the Veil Rift. Kenzai says, "Well, Hero, do you have the two arrows for me?" [Step #4] Give the Two Dark Elf Arrows to Kenzai. Kenzai says, "Excellent! I shall begin to work my magic upon them and see what makes them better, or worse, than our own. But before I pay you, I must have my ring back. Please give it to me now." [Step #4] Return Kenzai's Ring to him. Kenzai says, "Thank you, Hero. Here is the money I promised you. I hope that we shall meet again, for I am most pleased with the help you have given me today. May you always be in the Queen's favor, Hero!" You are awarded 1,100 experience! You are awarded 4 silver and some copper! You have completed the Magic Arrows quest! |
