Halloween Event Round-ups

ZAM takes stock of the witches, ghosts and ghouls invading our favorite games.

Halloween is just around the corner and the spookiest month of the year has brought a wide variety of events to our favorite games. Join us as we explore the details of these frightening events.

World of Warcraft
Hallow’s End is a celebration throughout Azeroth of the Forsaken breaking away from the Scourge. Participate in daily quests and purchase rewards from various Horde and Alliance vendors. Hallow’s End will run through November 1, 2013. Visit Wowhead for a detailed guide of the event.

Blizzard Entertainment is also running a Pumpkin Carving Contest! Send in a picture of your Warcraft, StarCraft or Diablo themed pumpkin by October 29, 2013 for a chance to win a Diablo III: Book of Tyrael compendium.

League of Legends

The Harrowing approaches for League of Legends, and as this terrifying season creeps in new Limited Edition and Legacy skins will be available. Grab some wallpapers from LolKing and check out the new skin previews of Haunted Zyra and Sultan Gangplank!

Guild Wars 2

Halloween has returned to Tyria and the Bloody Prince Edrick makes his first appearance, joining his father, the Mad King Thorn, in the Blood and Madness update. Players will encounter haunted Mad Realm Doors throughout Tyria and those who are brave enough can delve into the Mad King’s Labyrinth. Last year’s daunting Mad King’s Clock Tower also makes its return and is said to be “better than ever!”

RIFT

Prepare to suit up in your favorite costume as RIFT welcomes the return of Autumn Harvest just in time for the season's spooky festivities. With Halloween just around the corner, join in on the frightful fun now through November 4, 2013 and celebrate the season's tricks and treats. Participate in quests within the enchanting Realm of the Autumn Harvest, compete in the Black Garden Monster Mash warfront, defeat special Halloween-themed rifts and stock up on rewards!

Square Enix
The streets of Eorzea are decked out this Halloween for the All Saints’ Wake event on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. A traveling circus troupe has made its way to the city-states, appearing overnight, as if by magic. Speak to these Shifty Thespians for a special quest, but never forget that All Saints' Wake is a time for tricks as well as treats.

The Harvest Festival has returned in Final Fantasy XI and the cities of Bastok, Windrust and San D’Oria are decked out for the occasion. Enjoy the festival and earn great rewards from now until November 1, 2013.

At least they have fun events, not the moldy old ones in EQ. They could have at least added one new one this year.
