Guild Wars 2: September 2014 Feature Pack

ArenaNet has announced that the next Feature Pack will release September 9th.

With the International All-Star Tournament kicking off at Gamescom, ArenaNet has announced that the next Feature Pack release will be coming September 9th. Alongside this announcement is the announcement for the new World Tournament Series PvP tournament. While the International All-Star Tournament is the first worldwide Guild Wars 2 tournament, the World Tournament Series will be the first worldwide tournament with cash prizes at stake.

This tournament will have players fighting in a series of invitational events in North America, Europe and China where players will compete for a $150,000 prize pool. All players are eligible, as long as they are at least 18 years old and have the ability to travel. The first championship will be in the late fall of this year in Beijing. Competitors for this championship will be chosen from top qualifying players in the upcoming Tournament of Glory launching on August 20th. ArenaNet will be giving more information about the World Tournament of Series and the Beijing event in the weeks to come.

With this week being all about PvP with the International All-Star Tournament taking place at Gamescom, the rest of the week will have reveals for the sPvP and WvW features coming in the September 2014 Feature Pack. Colin Johanson will be kicking off the reveals with a blog post later today about the World Tournament Series and Feature Pack reveal rollout. Make sure to check GuildWars2.com for more information.
