Guild Wars 2: World Tournament Series

ArenaNet outlines the journey to the World Tournament Series Championships in China.

ArenaNet is at the Eurogamer Expo in London this weekend showcasing Guild Wars 2 at the Twitch TV booth. While there, they have announced the roadmap, including the dates, of the upcoming World Tournament Series (WTS). This PvP tournament will be the first international GW2 tournament where players will be competing for a $50,000 prize pool in Beijing, China this December.

The road to China begins with the current Tournament of Glory. Players in North America and Europe could sign up for the Tournament of Glory, fighting through the rounds to reach the finals that will take place on October 11-12. The winners of the Tournament of Glory Finals will then move on to the WTS Invitational Qualifier which is scheduled for October 25-26.

The teams that survive through the qualifier will have their travel covered for the big trip to Beijing, China where the inaugural Guild Wars 2 World Tournament Series will take place on December 4-5.

In addition to this announcement, ArenaNet will be streaming from the Eurogamer Expo throughout the weekend on the Guild Wars 2 Twitch.tv channel.
