Koalinths can be found in the southern corner of the beach, in groups along the beach or inside the koalinth cavern dungeon, but not sure what types are where...

Ok, intro for casters. I have been to Moher since I was level 17, and I am now level 20. At first you kill bocans and spectres in groups, they drop some silver and sometimes some low-life stones like bloodstones or something. When you are level 18 you can take on orange Gales. Yellows are perfect, and blue's are fine too. As a Void Eld I handle the next tactics:
Bolt, bolt, DD [gale stops his walk towards me for a casting] DD, stun, DD, DD. Some of the orange mobs were dead after my first two bolts (with critical hit), some of them need 2 or maybe 3 DD's casted afterwards. When they are close I stun them, and cast 2 DD's again, maybe one Quickcast DD, if it is not dead by then, I made a mistake :)
Yellows do twice as much XP as blue's and don't take too much XP. I can solo at least 6 of them on full power.

Watch for aggro, beetles and bocans still don't like you, even though they are green to you. These creatures do not interrupt their walk-towards-you, because they don't cast spells. So take max distance.

When you turn level 20, most of the Gales are blue to you, with an occasional yellow. Bocans will be green or gray, keep you eyes open. Beetles are still bad news.

ONE MORE TIP: NEVER ATTACK ROCK SHEERIES AS A CASTER, THEY CAN NOT BE INTERRUPTED (CASTING) AND WILL KILL YOU, THEY ARE FAST AND FURIOUS! EVEN IN GROUPS I WILL NOT SUGGEST THEM.
another good place for ya`ll

If u head west from the north gate of Tir na Nog you will get to the Cliffs of Moher. But now try this: stand in front of the gate facing the north. You will see a forest in the distance, walk straight that way, and pass it on the left side. This is a 1 minute run. Once on top of the hill you were running to, you will see some Ghostly Siabra`s, they con gray to me at lvl22, and before that ofcourse. Now on that hill, walk somewhat east, north east. You will find all kinds of kidlike creatures there. At lvl18 they make some very good food for groups, good groups. Uptil lvl 22 you will still be happy there. I call this place "kindergarten" because of the playful harmony they tend to show us; the nice visiting harmless but deadly and brutal killers.
The loot is very nice too there. I found some nice Eldritch stuff that sometimes is even magical.
Kindergarten is very good, for now I can`t solo them yet at lvl 22. But I guess that`s because I am a weak Eldritch. Some Enchanters have done it with the help of pets.

Have fun playing u all!

now after patch Moher is good hunting area for higher levels too: grovewoods , juvenile megafelids , hillock changellings , cliff dwellers, koalinth slinkers and many others are good for 25+ (depends how big your group is). i do lot soloing there now at lvl 39 , good place indeed .

As an eldritch, I've had very good experiences here at level 19. Just a couple notes, and this is on hunting near the little tower near the (eastern?) part of the zone near Tir na Gog.

The gales are amazing for those of us who love to cast. For me, as long as I got the first shot in, I was guaranteed a kill on 85% of the yellows. One thing I've noticed about gales, is that they seem, for the most part, to only appear in the daytime. That means if you want to solo, and the gales are your diet as yellow cons, don't expect to find a lot to hunt at night other the a ton of green bocans and spectres, with the occasional blue tossed in.

At 19, the giant beetles con orange and at 20, some still con orange although the first yellow beetles appear. Tough for soloing casters although in a group I imagine they are fairly easy to dispatch.

Siabra Distorters also appear in this zone, and these are great kills. Drop very fine loot and are not hard to kill, at least for nukers. If you don't get the first cast in though (i.e. random spawn and aggro), you're probably in trouble, they've usually killed me every time they surprised me, with stuns and DDs.

For those who are around the 15-18, there is good hunting for you by way of the spectres and bocans who come out at night mostly.

Loot report: Gales - lots of gem drops, great for those with weak strength that get encumbered easily. Specs / Bocans - never found anything all that great. Siabra Distorters - Ok sell items and the occasional magic item.

Things to watch out for: As in all zones, the random spawn. I had a few spawn close to me while I was resting, but I always keep an external point of view up so I can run as soon as I see a close pop.

Hope this helps,

Gales don't dissapear at night, they just pop a bit of a small walk from where they are at night. Seems abit pointless to me.

I had a nice time soloing around here until lvl 18. Seems to be abit of a gap until they con orange to me again though. Although I am an Enchantress and find soloing nice and easy.

I solo'd my way through the gales when they are yellow/orange. They cast, see, and I am a void/mana eldritch. I am able to outcast any caster. they drop good loot, too. On average, 2 gems each plus coin.

there is a parth farm just north of the siabra camp that was mentioned in this thread. that farm is rarely camped, but the loot is *heavy* and the run to Tir Urphost is a little far if you're a weak mage and carrying too much.

this will be the place to be at level 30+, as the cliff dwellers to the north are all high 30s.

Cliffs of Moher are a pretty dangerous place, inside are the Gales, the person above was correct in that they are about 20, they are yellow/orange to me on average and I am 21. Watch out for a siabra distorter camp on the way to Innis Cauthaig, they are enchanters, mez/nuke =/..anyway near the small outpost there is a dungeon the Koalith cavern..hope this helps :)

ok this is not the zone you want to run around in if doing the whole exploring-with-no-penalty-pre-level-six thing. I was running through a field of Gales and figured, oh, this is like that whole EQ FV-to-LOIO thing, maybe, no problem...BAM! 1 cast, 126 DD, goodbye to my little leprechaun butt. Didn't even think I had agroed one...anyway, please be aware there are TONS of VERY cranky casters in parts of this zone, and travel shouldn't be attempted until they've greyed out unless you're in a STRONG group. I'm guessing the Gales are around level 15-20ish. You've been warned. It was enough to give me Warrens batling cave flashbacks. <shudder>
