They are dropped in the mines. They will drop off of any monster in the pit area. Recommended pit level is a minimum of 34. You may be able to swing getting into a group a little lower if your a bard or healer of some sort or if you have lots of high level friends. All of this scale turns red at 36.

They are dropped in the coruscating mines. I have seen them drop off of lode protectors.

Dropped off monsters. Where and by what? Hib is a big place with lots of critters ;-)
