i did this quest three times and didn't get any coin or xp either bugged still

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different ***You need to do this quest three times. This is NOT a task, shows up in your journal, and is repeatable. Then the following quest is Silent Death. The Silent Death quest results in a great reward for your class. I was given the lynx variant twice, then the toad one. Quest is one of several types, but in all of them Bork asks you to hunt down a dangerous monster in the area. He has you hunt and kill one of a number of various things, included grass vipers, ribbon toads, and savage lynxes. Every time you do the quest you get a variable amount of silver (around 10-50) and a small amount of experience, if you are low enough. One variant: Bork says, "Yes? Are you [looking for something]?" Bork says, "Hmmm, I may have some work for you. Would you be [interested] in doing a little hunting for me?" You have been given the Hunting Party quest. Bork says, "Well let's see here. I think I may have something that you can do for me. Let me check my [scrolls]." Bork nods and opens his bag of scrolls. Bork searches quickly through his scrolls, studying them each for a few seconds before he nods and smiles. Bork says, "Ok here is a tough one. A savage lynx stole a baby from her crib yesterday. Hunt one of these foul creatures down and slay it, then return. Savage lynx are directly West of the Healer hut, go up and over the hill, to a clearing that is surrounded by trees, you should find plenty of them there. [Step #1] Hunt a savage lynx and slay it. [Step #2] Return to Bork Another variant: Bork says, "Hello again. Are you [interested] in more work already?" You have been given the Hunting Party quest. Bork says, "Well let's see here. I think I may have something that you can do for me. Let me check my [scrolls]." Bork says, "The ribbon toads have been stealing food off the tables of villagers with their long tongues. Slay one of these beasts and return to me." [Step #1] Hunt a ribbon toad and slay it. (seen in and around loc=65244, 48957 West Svealand) [Step #2] Return to Bork Ending: Bork says, "Great job! Here are a few coins as a reward. Return a bit later and I may have more work for you. I have to update my scrolls now." You are awarded 3 silver and some copper! You have finished the Hunting Party quest. |

Anyone know where the Savage Lynx spawn ?
Did the quest as a 13 runemaster and got a "go kill a Savage Lynx quest.."
I started looking for them Savage Lynx , but after meeting a few Winter spiders and other mobs that where soooo bit and nasty...I am thinking of just skipping this quest..(I even met a bear that was called dire wolverine...he didn't like me, must have been the second bolt I tried to hit him with...I notised that purple mobs don't like me trying to nukem, even when I don't do any damage with my spells )
Well as you might have notised I was soooo lost...and had no clue about where I was...been thinking of leting them mobs just kill my runemaster so I can respawn in town again :)
So anyone know where them Savage Lynx spawn ?

Savage Lynx roam on the ridge above Huginfel. There is also a solo savage lynx north of the lake to the west of Audwhatever. It follows the waterline.

I did this one twice today. No reward. :( 3 gold 82 silver before 1st quest. 3 gold 82 silver after completing it twice. I'm gonna petition so they'll fix the bug.

Here's the deal - this is a quest. It sounds like a task, but it is in fact a quest. Bork will ask you to slay a random creature that runs around Huginfel. Once you kill it, return to him and he'll give you some money.
I was allowed to complete this quest three times. That is, after completing it, I could talk to Bork and he would give it to me again. After three completions, he would no longer allow me to undertake this quest again (which is all right, because it's not much of a quest anyways). Despite being able to take this quest three times, if you do a /quest, it will only list it as being completed once.

When I first did this quest at level 13... All I had to do was kill a Grass Viper which conned yellow to me which wasn't a big deal...
I killed the viper and went back to Bork and finished the quest and got the reward.
At level 15, Bork gives me the quest again and tells me to go kill a Savage Lynx! Lynx cons orange to me at this level so I figure what the hell and go attempt it. I died once and finally killed the Lynx.
I go back to Bork and I get nothing! No experience from him and he tells me he gives me coins but he stiffed me!
I don't think I'm going to be continuing this quest unless someone else does and founds out the reward at the end is worth all this trouble...

sounds to me like you got a kill TASK (not the quest the second time), which you fail when you die and then the task disappears. Killing the lynx after you die and lose the task will reward you nothing.

This sounds more then a task then a quest.
You didnt got xps because u died. Check the /task command if you die during a task.

I got it at level 12, and it was a quest, showed up in my journal and all. Also, I got silver as a reward. Oddly enough, one of my friends did the same quest while I was present and he didn't get the silver. Bork said he gave him silver, but it didn't show up in his inventory panel after the quest was over.

I'd agree with the bugged comment. The quest was doable 2 times bya friend of mine but he didnt get any reward for killing the moensters either time( no exp or coin) and when i got the quest at lvl 13 runemaster i got a savage lynx as a critter to hunt, damn theyre red to me! lol

I did this quest at level 13 and mine was to kill a grass viper. After I did the quest I checked my money and found I did not get any money. I know this because I had 3gp and 94sp and expected to reach 4gp from this quest but my money did not change and if it did give me any coins it was very minor cause I am not sure how much I had in copper but afterwords I had only 4cp. I think this quest is definately bugged at least right now. I did report it so I hope its fixed soon.

Okay, people, He does both. At lower levels he will give you the QUEST that appears in your Journal. At various higher levels you can go to him for KILL TASKS, I recommend doing these kill task (that you can get from other various guards throughout the realm, at different Levels) as opposed to errand boy Tasks, the EXP is about twice as much.

Although you can get it below level 13 the reward Bork offers you do not recieve if you are below that level. I am level 12 and tried several times to get a reward from him but recieved nothing. Is this because of my level.

Ok I'm level 11 , and I can do this as a task. Perhaps when I get to 13 I'll be able to do it as a quest? That sounds likly to me.you people are running around accusingeach other of lying, or being stupid with no evidence to back it up. Why bother? If you feel like it go to Bork.. try to talk to him. If he gives you a quest great! if not tell him 'help' and do the task. Not a big deal. BTW many of the Bind Stone guards give repeated tasks in Midgard, you just have to be the right level range

It is not a task, it is a quest. Further, it is a prerequisite to future quests. Yes, it SOUNDS like a task, and Bork will give tasks at various levels just like any other guard, but THIS is a quest. It gets initiated through a quest dialog box, and shows up in your quest journal, and everything. If you haven't been there and tried it, and therefore don't know, why offer such negative commentary?

Sounds more like a task to me, but I don't recall actually right-clicking on Bork. I guess it might be a quest, but the description doesn't sound like one, & Bork being a guard, is more likely to give tasks. But whadda I know, I'm just a Dwarf.

He'll also do it if you target him and say 'task'. In this case exp and silver are fixed at 144k and 12 respectively. Once you get to 18, he tells you to come back when more powerful.

well you can hunt the lynxat 22 when you get the quest to kill njessi you just have to do a few kill tasks first

It appears in the quest journal which would indicate that it is indeed a quest.
This sounds like a task to me, not a quest. Maybe it's broken, but I doubt it.
