DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Your class determines the path you are given.

Started from Lauralaye in Tir Na Nog (though post NF speak with Lovernios) you go into Bri Lieth to talk to a sentinel to learn of information about Glory (the bow), he sends you get an arrow from a siabran archer (nocks encampment is easiest... directly across river from Ardagh) then take it to the enchanter in Bri Lieth, She asks you to get her the hoof of a faeire horse, get that by going about South East from town (up a hill near a set of tents, loc=35400 56700) then back to Bri Lieth. (Note on possible quest change: You may be told to look for Fearie Steeds, which can be found at loc 13k 57k Vally of Bri Leith. Another task may be to kill a Sett Youngling for its paw in Mount Collory (loc=31845,35465))

Now you are sent to an elf in Mardagh by the enchanter who tells you to find Tangua in Bri Lieth....

Tangua is a rare spawn in a set of huts behind the parthanan farm near Mag Mell, just follow the hill from Mag mell past the river towards the farm and you will eventually see it up on a hilly area (right behind a valley)... this area spawns 3 named Siogs! its main group is Siog footpad and Siog piller. He will spawn twice when he spawns for his cycle... you have a random chance of getting the item each time you kill him. (Note: You can find the named Siog in the huts right near the entrance of the mines in the Valley of Bri Lieth. kill the named until Tangua appears and you receive the item.)

After that you take the bow back to Tir na Nog and get the bow for finishing the quest.

After getting the arrow. I was sent to find a Mountain Mephit to get a rock of some sort. (Another task you may be given is to "seek Muadhnait (aka Mardaugh) "Elven weapon merchant that works at the shops on the road between Mag Mell and Tir Na mBeo")

Note: Rangers are the only class to receive an item reward (Siabrian Recurve Bow), other classes that complete this quest will receive some silver.

Reward:
  Siabrian Recurve Bow

Enchanted Sight
# Apr 10 2002 at 11:38 PM Rating: Default
What is the "enchanted sight" and how do I bring it to Barra in Innis Carthiage? I found Barra, but he does not respond when I click on him.

When I brought the hoof from the faerie horse to the enchanter in Caille, so that he could scry out the siabra, he took it and said he may know someone who can recognize the siabra, then the dialog window got bugged or something, because when I clicked on the highlighted words, nothing happened. Any suggestions?

Everyone keeps saying Siabra when the message I recieved was Tangua is a Siog. This also corralates to the camp people describe i.e. Siog not siabra. I haven't seen him spawn at this camp yet

Our Night for Glory
# Feb 27 2002 at 11:33 PM Rating: Default
My wife and I camped this area for two game days, but never received the bow named Glory. We killed the guy twice, and my wife received a "siabran bow", wo we thought we did not get it. So we killed and killed till we finally gave up. However, she turned the siabran bow into the NPC and she received the reward.
This Quest Sucks
# Feb 26 2002 at 8:46 PM Rating: Default
Provided you aren't a ranger, this quest is the most useless waste of time for a lvl 20 quest.

To do this quest quickly takes approximately 40s, and a good chunk of time.

The XP provided would easily match that you could get in the same amount of time by killing normal enemies, and the fact there's no item reward for non-rangers makes this quest go down as by far the worst quest in all DAoC.
I just did the quest today

the camp, where's Tangua's supposed to spawn, is one with 3 stone huts and a meatrack. right? SWW from it is the parth farm.

the only named spawn i've ever seen there Natyl. and it's not like a lot of ppl go there, so i doubt they'll have killed tangua.
info
# Jan 24 2002 at 6:57 AM Rating: Decent
I'm not sure where this "9pm" thing came from, but I've killed Tangua many times for myself and to help others with the quest. He spawns randomly at all times of the day, sometimes a couple times in a row with almost zero wait time between deaths. You have to be lucky to get the bow. I was grouped with 2 others doing the quest, and for both of them the bow was "magically transformed into copper pieces", but for me, I received Brigit's Bow. Given the complexity of this quest, I was really hoping for a nice reward. The 75s was a joke, and I recommended my non-ranger friends to not even bother with this quest.

Tangua is orange, sometimes yellow, to me at level 20.
Journal entry still there
# Jan 23 2002 at 10:04 PM Rating: Default
I did everything just to get the quest removed from journal since I am a bard. Dude dropped 15sp and I still have the entry of step 7 on there. I guess I will try to kill him again and hope for the best. Yawn
Explanation to Tangua and the bow
# Jan 22 2002 at 10:06 PM Rating: Default
This has to be the quest with the most different stories, but now I've talked to quite a few people about the last step, killing Tangua and I might be able to clear things out a bit.

Tangua spawns every evening at 9 pm, and only then. Sometimes he drops the bow Glory that you need, other times he laughs at you and the disappears in smoke and some copper appears instead. If that happens you just have one full day till next day at 9 pm when he spawns again.

When you finally get the bow Glory, which is unuseable and have no bow stats, you deliver it to Brigit in Tir na Nog, and then one of two things happen.

1) Rangers get the bow Glory which is useable.

2) It seems that everybody else just gets 75 silver.

Thats what i've discovered from quite a bit of running, talking, searching and much else. So, all in all, this quest is one LOOOOOONG wait for Tangua to spawn and if he doesn't drop the bow, well, even more waiting.

Tangua and "her"
# Jan 17 2002 at 4:24 PM Rating: Default
I'm assuming the "her" you speak about is the enchanter. Anrebh is a male enchanter in Caille inside the building. He is the first person you see as you go through the door. I also camped Tangua, he popped twice within less than an hour and another ranger and I both got Glory from him. At lvl 21 the Siog's conned blue and yellow, we also owned the camp between the two of us shooting what bows we had.

Faerie Horse
# Jan 11 2002 at 12:56 PM Rating: Default
There are Faerie Horses, which con blue to me at 21, S - SE from Caille up the hill in a clearing. They are accompanied with Faerie Steeds or something like that, that con orange++ to me as well. I tried to solo but they are baffers so...I guess I will have to recruit the help of some friends.
Incorrect Info
# Dec 17 2001 at 7:16 AM Rating: Default

5 hour spawn is WRONG! He popped 6-7 times within an hour. 2 other rangers (all of us 20-21)
decimated the camp killing everything that popped.
Sometimes he does not drop the needed piece but think he did on the 2nd time for me.

Nice bow, think it went blue around 27

#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 05 2001 at 4:21 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ummmmmmm, people, I think youre forgetting that DAoC has a "random quest" generator.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 29 2001 at 7:14 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Quest Generator has not been implamented yet. I have done about 15 quest so far, and the guides that this Website gives always match the instructions that the game gives. But so far that I heard, quest will stiff require killing NAMED monsters, so directories such as the one this site gives will still be invaluable, as the named monsters will always spawn in the same areas they always do.
random
# Nov 30 2001 at 12:51 PM Rating: Decent
The mob that the enchanter sent me after was different. I had to bring him back a paw fron a Sett Youngling. Also the person he sent me to talk to after bringing him the paw was different. I had to speak to an Npc in Howth (dont remember the name). I have read many posts on this quest and it seems to me that these 2 parts are random.
Celt Version
# Nov 28 2001 at 7:16 PM Rating: Decent
As a Celt ranger, I received this quest from Lovernios in Tir Na Nog. Another difference is that instead of a faerie horse, I needed a stone from a mountain mephit. I found him not far from the walls of Druim Ligen in the gorge. He was blue to me at 23.

Tangua himself was not particularly difficult. Had to kill him twice before he dropped the item. Waited near an hour for the first spawn, the second took no longer than 10 minutes. I had kept the nearby Siabras clear, so when Tangua showed up it was a simple kill, he had no friends close by to call to.

The bow I received is :

Siabrian Recurve Bow
DPS - 8.4 SPD - 4.6
Recurve Bow +3
Dexterity & Quickness +2
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 29 2001 at 8:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Who did you give your bow to at end? Brigit or the guard?
RE: Celt Version
# Dec 02 2001 at 2:14 AM Rating: Default
I, an Elven Ranger, had to return the bow to Brigit. It will say in your journal who the bow goes to, if it should go to anyone different.
finding the camp
# Nov 28 2001 at 5:18 PM Rating: Default
Another way to find this camp is to go to the guard tower over looking the callie valley and head north from there, you should find the camp on a small ridge to your right in 1-3 mins.

I had to wait also for my turn to get the bow :( they should have kepot to what they promised in beta " all in the group that need the quest item will recieve the quest item, aswell as anyone that helps outside of the group" this is there 2nd lie that i have been involved with, the 1st was there promised 5-30 mins for quest npc spawn times.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 28 2001 at 11:54 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This quest should state "Rangers Only" All others are just wasting their time running all over the world for 18 sp. Truely wish they would fine tune these quests a bit
