DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Augebert, a guard on the north side of Wearyall, wants you to kill undead northeast of Avalon City and return the engraved insignia rings to him. (The Undead are decaying marshmen who can be found roaming around Wearyall Village. Also the undead around Caer Caddug are reported to drop these rings.) Lvl 40 received 7,946,720 exp for each ring turned in. lvl 39 also received 7,946,720 exp for each ring turned in. |

My lvl 44 could not get this quest. Augebert basically told me to go away

I was able to turn these in as a level 38 so the level 39 requirement posted here is a bit too high.

They also drop off of the random undeads surrounding Caddug, just East of Avalon City (never really took note of which undeads in particular).
At level 39, they're worth 7,946,720 apiece.

Unless I have been killing the wrong things, I have been killing these decaying marshmen for a couple of hours now and I have not received any rings.

At 40 he gave me 7,946,720 experience.
The mob they are looking for that drops the rings is decaying marshmen who can be found around Wearyal Village.
